Rohit stood in the living room, fidgeting with the hem of his shirt as he anxiously awaited Shubman's return. He had been nervous all day, unsure of how to tell Shubman the life-changing news he had just discovered. The excitement was there, of course, but it was overshadowed by fear-fear of how Shubman might react, fear of what the future would bring. But no matter how scared he was, he had to tell him. Today.

As soon as Shubman entered, tired from his day, Rohit's heart raced. He took a deep breath, trying to summon the courage to speak.

"Shub... mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai," Rohit said softly, stepping closer, his voice tinged with hesitation.

Shubman barely glanced at him, tossing his bag onto the couch. "Rohit, abhi nahi," he muttered, sounding irritated. "Main thaka hua hoon."

But Rohit pressed on, unable to wait any longer. "Shub, please, yeh important hai. Tum suno toh sahi."

The persistent tone in Rohit's voice must have struck a nerve because Shubman suddenly turned to face him, frustration evident in his expression. "Maine kaha na, abhi nahi! Har waqt tumhare paas kya baatein hoti hain, Rohit? Kabhi chup nahi reh sakte?" he snapped, his voice louder than he intended.

Rohit flinched, his eyes widening in shock at Shubman's outburst. He hadn't expected this-he just wanted to share the most beautiful news of their lives, but now he felt his heart sinking. He opened his mouth to say something, but no words came out. The sting of Shubman's harsh words hit him harder than he could have anticipated.

Shubman noticed the shift in Rohit's expression, but in his irritation, he didn't fully register what he had just done. "Rohit, mujhe abhi kuch bhi nahi sunna. Mujhse abhi baat mat karo," he added before storming out of the room, leaving Rohit standing there, hurt and alone.

Rohit's hand instinctively went to his stomach, where their baby was growing. Tears filled his eyes, and his chest tightened with the overwhelming emotions. This wasn't how he had imagined things would go. He had thought Shubman would be happy, that he would hold him and reassure him. Instead, he was left feeling abandoned and rejected.

As the tears finally spilled over, Rohit sank onto the couch, sobs shaking his tiny frame. "Main sirf tumhe yeh batane ki koshish kar raha tha... humara baby hai," he whispered to himself, his voice cracking with sorrow.

The hours passed slowly, and Rohit didn't move from his spot, his heart heavy. His tears had dried, but the ache in his chest remained. He felt lost-unsure of how to face Shubman again, unsure of whether he could handle this all alone.

Meanwhile, Shubman paced in their bedroom, still fuming, but his anger was slowly starting to ebb. He couldn't stop thinking about the hurt in Rohit's eyes, the way his voice had trembled. Something was wrong. He realized that, but his pride kept him from going back immediately.

But as the silence in the house grew louder, gnawing at his guilt, Shubman finally decided to check on Rohit. When he entered the living room, the sight that greeted him made his heart stop.

Rohit was sitting on the couch, his arms wrapped around himself, looking so small and fragile, tear stains marking his cheeks. And it hit Shubman-he had done this. He had caused the one person he loved the most to cry like this.

"Rohit..." he whispered, his voice filled with regret. He rushed over, kneeling in front of him. "Rohit, baby, I'm so sorry..."

Rohit looked up at him with red, puffy eyes, and the pain Shubman saw there made him feel like the worst person in the world. "Mujhe sirf tumhe batana tha, Shub..." Rohit's voice was barely above a whisper, his hand moving to rest on his stomach again. "Hum... humara baby..."
