Bella's POV

After one more week in hospital her dad finally got the all clear to leave the hospital but has to wait a further two weeks before potentially getting the all clear to fly home.

Being stuck in Mexico with her family isn't the worse thing although she definitely wishes it was under different circumstances.
It was early December and they were unsure if they would be home Christmas or not and there had been discussions on whether or not just to stay here for it anyway.

Also recovering in sunshine isn't the worst idea since England is cold and miserable at this time of year.

Her dad still has some way to go in regards to fully recovering but the doctors are happy with the process he's making so far.
Despite him not being very mobile it's nice for him to be out of the confines of the hospital.

Chris has made good on his promise and has stayed by her side the entire time, along with Tom, Harrison and Tom's mum.
The rest of the Holland clan flew home once her father woke up.

Tom and Chris found an holiday rental that sleeps all of them has a pool and access to a private beach so that they can all have some privacy during this time.

Two Avenger stars spotted at the same place it definitely started to draw some attention with articles starting to pop up.
It was only going to raise more interest when Zendaya joins them tomorrow.

Thankfully Chris and Tom's teams were handling the press and article's and honestly Bella didn't have the energy to worry about something else.
Security has also been hired to ensure no one can break into the property.

If she closes her eyes and clears her mind for a moment then she could pretend they were just on another regular family vacation as she soaked up some sun and spent time with her loved ones.

Tom and Harrison laughing while messing around in the pool which will lead to her being dragged in at some point, her mum and Nikki gossiping like teenagers. Then there's the gentle snores of her father that fill the air and its likes she's transported back to a time when things seemed simpler.

Except this time she has Chris here by her side and when she opens her eyes she finds his baby blues watching her from the pool.

Closing her eyes again she recalls the conversation her and Chris had two days ago.

Her dad was out of the hospital and they decided it was time for them to sit down and talk about everything that's happened.
It was definitely a much needed talk.

They took a walk along the beach front that evening to find a private space to talk away from everyone.

Chris started and explained that he did share a drunken kiss with Ana but it was before he and Bella had become official, although Bella wishes he shared that at the time she understands they weren't officially together so he didn't need to tell her.

She apologised for running away rather than talking to him about what she overheard, and explained with her past experiences she just expected the worst and decided to run from the problem instead of facing it head on like she should've done.

Chris was understanding more so about the second time given the circumstances presented to her.
However he explained how it frustrated him that she decided to run away and not even try and talk to him, when he thought she could come to him about anything.

Running and hiding was her default setting and it's something she promised to work on as she knows it's not a healthy thing to do.

He assured her that he doesn't care what anyone else thinks about their relationship as long as they are both happy that's all that matters.
He loves her and she loves him everyone else can simple like or lump it.
