Chapter 17: Shadows of the Past

Jungkook's past had always been a sensitive topic. He had carefully guarded his secrets, fearing judgment and rejection from those he cared about.

One day, while working on a video for their channel, Jungkook received an unexpected phone call. His estranged father, Ji-Hyun, was on the line.

"Jungkook, I need to see you," Ji-Hyun said, his voice laced with urgency.

Jungkook's instincts screamed warning, but he agreed to meet his father at a nearby café.

Taehyung sensed Jungkook's unease and offered to accompany him. "I'll be there for you, no matter what."

At the café, Ji-Hyun revealed shocking news: Jungkook's family was in financial trouble, and he needed Jungkook's help.

Jungkook felt torn. Part of him wanted to help his family, but another part remembered the pain and abandonment he had endured.

Taehyung's presence provided comfort, but Jungkook knew he had to face his demons alone.

"What do you want me to do?" Jungkook asked, his voice firm.

Ji-Hyun hesitated. "I want you to come back home, Jungkook. We need you."
