He was burning.  The Fall was the most terrifying and painful experience Lucifer had ever felt, his mind whirled with thoughts and memories of his life, it was a miracle he could even think straight until he saw Lilith falling above him.  Gasping as he reached for her, pulling the woman close to himself with what was left of his wings wrapping around them, he had to keep her safe, that's all that mattered to him.  The darkness around them was stifling, heavy, and hard to breathe, the air wasn't right, and below them was a mass of wasteland with nothing in sight for miles, Lilith tried to speak but all he could hear was the roaring pain of being cast out by the Angels.  When they finally landed, Lucifer created a crater so big that it took most of the land in a giant hole, raising spires around the edges as the dust took a while to clear.

Lucifer lay unmoving with his broken wings fanned out from his form, Lilith lay on his chest winded from the impact but otherwise Lucifer had protected her from the brunt of it, whimpering as she slowly got up to look down at the smaller Angel to see that he was unconscious.  Crying softly before reaching for Lucifer's head, brushing his golden locks back now stained with his blood, she tried to wake him, to see if he was still alive, and for a time she got nothing.  The fear of being left alone in a realm of darkness had Lilith weeping even more before she heard Lucifer take a breath, turning towards his side to touch him gently,

"Lucifer?  Lucifer can you hear me?  Are you... " he coughed before opening his eyes to stare at Lilith, she was safe, he smiled trying to calm himself and fight through the pain he was in all the while looking up towards the sky.  Nothing but darkness, where were they?

"Lilith, why did you jump after me?  You could have had a life still... your freedom on Earth, this place... it's dark, cold, and yet not, there is... evil here."  After eating the fruit, the knowledge he gained, and realizing they were no longer on Earth, this realm was filled with a corruption he had never felt before.

"I wasn't going to leave you, you did nothing wrong and yet they... your poor wings, you're bleeding too.  Can you get up?"  With great effort, Lilith helped him sit up wincing in pain before looking back at his wings, mottled feathers, singed and burned by the Fall, his family smiting him to banish him into a realm of darkness.

"Lucifer, what is this place?"  He wasn't sure how he knew but his Father's voice came to him, he spoke of a realm where one day mortals who come to pass would be judged on their actions, their Sins.  Heaven would welcome those who gained favor with the Holy Light whereas those who committed Sins would fall to a realm called,

"This is Hell, where mortal souls will fall into darkness for the Sins they commit in life.  Suppose you are the first Sinner to fall?"  He gave a weak smile to her while Lilith sighed to smile back as she reached to hold his hand,

"Oh, I beg to differ!"  They both jolted at the sound of a woman's voice, turning to see Eve or someone that used to be her shrouded in darkness and tar, her red eyes glaring at the pair while she bared her fangs to laugh.  "Should have expected they'd send you down here, and just when I was glad to have Alastor all to myself~"  From the ground, Alastor emerged through the shadows being held by tendrils, lifting his head to see his love and the state he was in had the buck crying out.

"Lucifer, what happened to you?  Why are you here?"

"The Heavens sought to punish him for the destruction of the Garden, how cute," Eve laughed as Lucifer struggled to stand up, wincing in pain as his wings fluttered behind him while glaring at Eve.

"Let him go, Eve!"

"That's not my name anymore, Morningstar, I go by Roo now... as in the Root of All Evil.  I must thank you for bringing about the end of the garden.  All of this happened because of you and that foolish woman!"  Before Lucifer could do anything, Roo summoned several tendrils that turned into spines that shot forward aiming for the Angel, Lilith was shoved away from Lucifer as he saw the attack coming.  Alastor cried out for the other at the sight of the spines stabbing into Lucifer, several penetrating through his small form killing the Angel as he choked on his blood.

"Lucifer? Lucifer... Lucifer!"  Alastor cried out trying to break free, Lucifer's body was dropped without care resulting in Lilith running to his side and rolling him over to see his eyes were white and there was no response.

"Lilith... is he... please tell me he's not..." Roo was busy laughing while Lilith stood to face the other woman, clenching her fists in anger as her hair started flowing around her form and the corruption from within the realm began seeping into her.
