Chapter 21: Style Clashes at the Battle Chateau

At a Pokemon Center on Route 7, Clemont was sweating nervously as he fiddled with his fingers. Nami noticed that and sniggered before walking over to him.

"Looks like someone is anxious to meet his girlfriend." she whispered in a teasing tone. Clemont blushed really hard there.

"H-H-HEY! NO, I'M NOT! I'M JUST WORRIED ABOUT HER...UM, LUCARIO!" he yelped indignantly. Bonnie patted Clemont's back reassuringly.

"Now, now, Big Brother, there's no hiding it. You're becoming a worrywart because of your girlfriend. It's totally understandable. Just look at Ash and Luffy." she stated. While Ash and Luffy wisely ignored Bonnie's jab since they ultimately knew it was true, Serena and Uta's faces turned very red at the mention of their crushes being protective. Clemont's blush also went way up. Meowth just shook his head.

"Hard to believe just how many potential couples there are in this group alone. And that's not counting the Pokemon couples too." he muttered to himself. Unbeknownst to Meowth, Nami heard him and agreed with him there, especially as she still couldn't believe her own captain can show love and affection toward Uta. Suddenly, Ash and Luffy sensed a powerful aura coming straight to them that made Riolu pop out of his Pokeball. They instinctively turned to the front door, which piqued everybody else's interest.

"Let me guess...Lucario?" Brock asked knowingly. They didn't have to wait long to find out as Korrina skated inside the Pokemon Center with her partner by her side. He was a bipedal, canine-like Pokemon with predominantly blue and black fur. He possessed a short, round spike on the back of each forepaw, in addition to a third on his chest. He had red eyes, a long snout, and ears. When his mouth was open, two pairs of pointed teeth, one in the upper jaw and one in the lower, can be seen. He possessed cream-colored fur on his torso and blue fur on his thighs that resembled shorts. He had a medium-length tail of the same blue color as well. He stood on his toes rather than on his entire foot. He had developed four black appendages that hung down from his head, which were currently rising as he read the aura in the room. And this one was carrying a red backpack.

"...Lu? (...Hm?)" Lucario mused while he glanced over to Ash and Luffy.

"What is it, Lucario? Sense someone suspicious?" Korrina inquired. Lucario gazed upon Ash and Luffy a bit longer before shaking his head.

"Luca luca lucario lucario luca luca. Lu luca luca. (More like these two possess a similar aura in them. No malice here, though.)" he responded. Korrina's eyebrow rose in curiosity as she turned to the two boys.

"...Huh, Clemont and Viola weren't kidding when they said those two look similar." she mumbled to Lucario. He had to agree with Korrina there.

Suddenly, they heard Bonnie's loud voice shout, "KORRINA!" Now very confused, Korrina looked at the little girl, who was running to her with stars in her eyes.

"May I help you, little girl?" she queried curiously. Clemont, who was looking quite mesmerized by Korrina, snapped out of his stupor and let out an annoyed groan.

"BONNIE, DON'T YOU DARE!" he exclaimed. Bonnie naturally didn't listen as she got down on one knee and held her hand out to a startled Korrina.

"You're a keeper! When are you and Clemont gonna tie the knot?!" the little girl squealed in delight.

Korrina blushed crimson while she yelped, "HUH?!"

"BONNIE!" Clemont screeched out, very embarrassed. He was about to send out his Aipom Arm, but Nami, who had been laughing with everybody else, including Lucario, placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Do you seriously wanna blow yourself up in front of Korrina?" she asked with a snicker. A massive blush crossed Clemont's face as Korrina scowled at Lucario.
