Ash, Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, and Sanji were each punching (or, in the cook's case, kicking) a tree. On the other side, Serena, Uta, and Nami were trying (and failing) to dodge the Pikachus and Pidgey's Quick Attack. Ivankov just watched the training unfold in front of him. The girls wore pink jumpsuits with Serena's hair tied in a bun. And Ash and Sanji had their jackets off while the boy and Luffy also had their hats off.
"...Geez...this is...harder than...I thought..." Serena uttered as she panted, sweat falling down her face.
"Oh? Having second thoughts, Serena?" Ivankov asked. Serena rapidly shook her head and slapped her cheeks.
"No way! I need to be ready for the Navy! Give me more, Chuchu!" she called out determinedly. As Chuchu once again used Quick Attack on her trainer, Brock and Meowth, who were watching the training with interest alongside Psyduck and Usopp's Eevee, couldn't help but shake their heads.
"Definitely the craziest thing in this journey so far..." they muttered to themselves. Eevee heard them and agreed there while Psyduck just tilted his head in confusion. Clemont and Korrina came out of the Pokemon Center with yawns and Lucario by her side. Bonnie, who was talking to Mairin, turned to the duo.
"About time you woke up, lovebirds." she stated teasingly. As Dedenne, Mairin, Chespie, and Lucario sniggered, Clemont and Korrina blushed a little bit.
"Sorry, I was checking in with Dad." he admitted.
"And then we said bye to Viola. Kelvin and Leah had already left." Korrina added. Bonnie and Mairin gave them an understanding nod.
"So how are things going with them?" Clemont inquired.
"About as well as you'd expect. This stuff was easy to understand. But executing it..." Bonnie trailed off.
"...is a whole different matter altogether." Korrina finished. Bonnie nodded to confirm that. Clemont looked around and became confused.
"Say, where's Alain?" he wondered out loud.
"He went off to do some training with Pawniard. He was pretty aggressive when we woke up, and he's usually docile." Mairin explained, worried for both Alain and Pawniard.
"...Oh? Hm..." Clemont mused.
"Something up?" Bonnie inferred.
"...Could be a sign of Pawniard being close to evolving." Clemont guessed.
"Really?!" Bonnie and Mairin yelped while their Pokemon's eyes grew wide. Clemont just hummed at that. Lucario sensed a new aura from Serena's bag as he turned to see it shaking.
"LU! LUCA LU LUCARIO LUCA LUCARIO! (AH! MEOWTH, TELL SERENA HER EGG IS HATCHING!)" he exclaimed. Korrina and Meowth's eyes widened as they looked at the shaking bag.
The Scratch Cat Pokemon turned to the rest of the group before shouting, "Hey Serena! Ya egg is hatching!" Everybody instantly stopped what they were doing.
"...OH! You're right! Thanks, Meowth!" Serena responded as she and Chuchu rushed over to her bag. She picked it up and ran into the Pokemon Center with everyone else, minus Mairin and Chespie, who went to find Alain, following them after Ash, Luffy, and Sanji put on their hats and jackets.
"Seriously, why are all these eggs hatching one after another?" Meowth mumbled under his breath. Inside the Pokemon Center, Serena had taken the egg out of the case and put it on the table as Brock went into Doctor mode. Ash and Pikachu were both eyeing Nami.
"...What, you don't trust me?" she asked knowingly. Ash and Pikachu winced and chuckled nervously. Before he could say anything, Nami took her egg out and rubbed it.
