It was the next day, like always she woke up to her alarm clock, music blaring, and her beloved Pegasus holding her close to his chest as they slept, but she sighed sadly hearing her alarm clock blaring music. Helios smiles opening his eyes and kissing the top of her head.
"Time to wake up, my sweet Maiden." He whispers.
She pouts. "I truly have to get up...? I never got a chance to go out with you yesterday, because Mina-chan caught the stove on fire, then somehow Usa-chan boiled the water until there was no water left in the pan," She pushed herself up hovering over him. "How can anyone burn water and catch the stove on fire?"
He looked surprised then laughed, grabbed a handful of her white silverish hair that fell over her shoulder, playing with it.
"Give them time, Lady Yuuki. It's only the first day of cooking."
Her face softens then smiles and leans down so their lips are inches apart.
"Guess you're right~." She whispers, her lips brushing against his. "But wouldn't it be more fun if we stayed here... just a little longer?"
His cheeks flared up at her tone, making him want to claim her fully but he held back thinking of his promise. He places a hand behind her head, then gently pushes her head closing the distance of their lips. She was taken surprise by his action but instantly melted in his gentle loving kiss until they needed air.
As they pulled away, he gazed into her eyes, his voice husky with emotion. "Lady Yuuki, you make it so hard to keep my promise," he murmured, his thumb gently caressing her cheek. "Tempting as that sounds, you need to grab something to eat, and then we can head for your school."
She pouts and leans back down, stealing another kiss. She groans, glaring at her alarm clock on the nightstand, which was blaring some random song on the radio, reminding her she had to get up or she'd be late. She grumbles as she gets up, dragging her feet to the bathroom and grabbing her school uniform on the way, leaving Helios chuckling at her pouting form. He stands up, making his modern outfit appear on his body, and lets her know he'll be waiting for her in the kitchen. He leaves her bedroom and heads to the kitchen to greet his Prince and friend, Mamoru.
"Morning, Helios. I take it she realized she's going to be late?" Mamoru asks.
Helios sits down at the table, chuckling. "Yeah, but she was against getting up. I talked her into it... though I was tempted to keep her in my arms a bit longer. But she needed to head to school and practice with the Three Lights, I believe she called them."
Mamoru smirked, pouring a cup of coffee for Helios. "You know, one day she might just decide to stay in bed and skip school altogether."
Helios accepted the cup with a grateful nod. "And on that day, I'll be right there beside her, making sure she doesn't regret it."
Mamoru chuckled, shaking his head. "You're hopeless, you know that?"
Before Helios could respond, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed down the hallway. She appeared in the doorway, her hair still slightly damp from the shower, and her uniform slightly askew. "I'm ready!" she announced, grabbing a piece of toast from the table.
Helios stood up, smoothing out her uniform with a gentle touch. "You look perfect," he said softly, his eyes filled with affection.
Yuuki pouted, her lips forming a small frown. "Do I really have to go to school today? I'd much rather stay here with you."
