"Amane.." Nene croaked weakly.

"It's 4 in the morning. Why are you calling me? Let me go back to sleep."

"I was scared, okay? I had a nightmare. Also because I missed you soo much." Amane whined on the other side of the call.

Nene couldn't tell if he was serious-both about having a nightmare and missing her. They literally met in school a few moments ago and even walked back home.

Nene and Amane are both in 3rd year highschool (12th grade,) with graduation just around the corner. They started dating back in 2nd year middle school (8th grade) though. They've already been together for 4 years now. And it just so happens to be that their graduation is also their anniversary.

---

"A-ah! Ouch.." Nene groaned as she bumped into something hard.

It was the first day of middle school. What a great way to start.

She opened her eyes without realizing she had actually collided with a person. Right in front of her sat a boy with choppy brown hair, and eyes akin to maple. He had a small stature, arms riddled with bruises and cuts sitting underneath dirty bandages, and had his uniform put on lousy. He had his hand on his forehead, rubbing it due to impact.

He was totally not her type.

Nene sighed.

*So much for getting my hopes up..*

"I'm sorry! I didnt mean to hit you." Nene excused herself.

The boy in front of her stayed silent for a second. He then stood up and extended his hand and apologized midway.

"Sorry." Before Nene knew it, he was already nowhere on her field of view.

He must've ran away. It was such a weird encounter.

"Ugh I need to attend to the morning assembly- huh?" As Nene was about to leave for the orientation, something seemed to caught her eye. Something sparkling was lying in the concretr ground. Upon coming closer, they were keys. It had a cool-looking keychain, that of a rocket. Nene couldn't help but pick it up and stuff it down her pocket and keep it until she found the owner.

---

"Oh that's.. An encounter. Too bad he wasn't your type, Nene-chan."

It's been 4 months into the new school year, and Aoi and Nene became friends. They always ate lunch on the rooftop to catch a breeze and talk about whatever was going on in their lives.

" Yeahh.. Though he did seem a bit interesting. If I'm correct, these keys should've been dropped by him. It's a cool pick to have a rocket as a keychain, though. You think he's smart or something?" Nene sighed a deep one, one due to disappointment. She couldn't help but wonder about the she met a few months ago.

Ever since she bumped into him on that day, she can't help but notice him on the corner of her eye. Near the entrance, on the empty football field, but most out of all places, the section next to them every after school. She would find him near the windowsill often, or him sat with his head down.

"Maybe?~ Atleast he has one redeeming quality." Aoi teased. The girls both laughed it off and finished their lunch.

"Wait.. Aoi-chan... P.E's next period right? I forgot my gym clothes in the classroom! I'll be back, okay?!" Nene said before she took off and dashed to their classroom.
