Precisely around 2 years ago, there was a news popped up about Tom Hardy winning a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition. That news somehow made me fascinated towards the actor, for I have been taking him for granted several times prior. Then around last year, I started to binge watching his old movies until the latest one that I haven't watched (even rewatching some that I've watched). Through several movies, he has been playing several roles: supporting character (Black Hawk Down, RocknRolla, Inception, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Lawless, Dunkirk), the main villain (The Dark Knight Rises, The Revenant), even the main protagonist (Stuart: A Life Backwards, Bronson, Warrior, Locke, Mad Max: Fury Road, Legend, Venom movies). Latest movie of him that I watched is The Bikeriders, where he was soooo good in it, channeling the Marlon Brando aura. I was smiling ear-to-ear seeing him on the big screen after sooo long (Could've watched venom let there be carnage in theatre but covid). Watching several of his movies made me realize that he's a badass, both on-screen and in real life. And that's why I casted him as the main character in my story, as Eddie (yes... I do admit that I may have use both his full name, which is Edward Thomas Hardy, and from the Venom movie).

Now we turn our eyes to the main female character, Sophia. And somehow I landed with choosing Barbara Palvin. I have to admit, choosing her was somehow a no-brainer move, but honestly it wasn't. I did however stumbled into one of her short movie, Serpentine. It was (honestly) a weird aah movie but the way Barbara acted in it intrigued me into casting her. Plus when I made a collage (Tom & Barbara collage), it was like there's this feeling struck into me, a feeling that said that it's a match, a perfect one. I don't know how that feeling got into me but it just struck like that. As if it's a match made in heaven...

Ps. Here's some of the collages I made (I made a lot but I don't feel like posting all of them haha)

This book begun around the month of March last year and it has been a journey of writing this book, not to mention the writer's block I went through. It has its sweet moment but it also has its rough bump, just like Eddie in this story that I wrote.

I only hope that people like this story and hopefully can share it to the others. That's all I hope.

So welcome to the story of Eddie & Sophia.

Enjoy.
