chapter - 15 .

Kunal was back to his routine of going to his office , when he was told by his p.a of an upcoming event where he had to go as chief guest .

Kunal was unable to put his whole focus on his work worried about his younger ones , he was not so dense to not know that his bestfriend has some genuine feelings for his sister and the swelling of her eyes , the redness in them told that for her he was more than just a stranger .

But he didn't knew how to comfort her on the other hand he was thankful to her as Ryan didn't get a panick attack since she would not left him alone to focus on his thoughts of that incident .

But deepti's life was not like before , the disappointment on her face no matter what she do was the first sign that Aditya meant much more than what he thought he was .

On the other's hand ....

There was a celebration going on as Anu was selected as an assistant economics professor in the university , of which she gave an interview.

" I told you  , you would definitely make it ...anu " said his Bhai manan ...while hugging her ...
" I'm so happy Bhai ! I can't express it in words."
" I know bachhe ." He said while hugging her back .

Her bhabhi and maa also came while smiling from ear to ear , her bhabhi fed her , her favourite kheer " here for my cutu nanad ."

" Anu hugged her " while jumping in happiness.

" Are ! Hme toh bhul hi gye yeh log " said her father while coming toward her with his wife .

" Baba ! Aapko pta h ab m bhi aapki trh teacher hu ! " She said being excited like a kid .

It was her dream to become a teacher like her father , who is respected by students from every section not only for his academic guidance but also for moral teachings .

They had a little celebration for it , where anu enjoyed all her favourite dishes plus a tub of ice cream hiding from everyone.

At night ......

Anu dialled deepti's no.
" Hey ! "

" Hello." Came a hoarse voice , it was no where the normal deepti  she knew .

" Everything alright, Deepu?"
"Yeah ." Her voice was so plan that it was becoming difficult for Anu to carry on the conversation.
Deepti is the one who contributes a lot to conversation...
" Why did you call ? You ...good ? "

" I'm well , I just dialled to tell you that I'm selected as an assistant professor."

" Congrats ! Buddy ."
She said maintaining the tone of her voice .

" You sure , you are alright ? "
Anu questions her as deepti was the most cheerful girl she met , she handles the situation in a way no one can ...

She is too mature for her age ....

" I'm fine anu , just have some cold ."
She replied.
" Okay ! Take rest and have your meals properly."
Saying so , anu disconnected the call but she was not able to calm herself as deepti never behaves this way , whenever she is ill , she will definitely tell her .

Anu looked at her mobile , waiting a minute she dialled the no. But there was no response from it. Shr again did the same and result was same as well .

She hesitantly looked at her mobile and then dialled the no.

It ringed two to three times before it was answered ....
" Hello " came a calm and composed voice .

Anu was lost somewhere that she didn't notice that her call was answered already .

" Hello!" Again came the voice , this time with a little more pressure on the syllables ...
" Hello!" She meekly replied .

" Kon bol rhi h aap ?"
" M ...Anu ."
" Kon ?"
" M Aditi bol rhi hu , deepti ki dost jo aapke ghr aayi thi kuch din pehle ..."

" Ji , kahiye ?"

" Deepti ki tabiyat thik h ?"

" Aapke paas unka no. Hoga toh aap unse puche , mujhe ku puch rhi h ."

" Kunki woh nhi bta rhi h isliye phone Kiya h aapko , fizool samay na h aapke paas h or na hmare ."

" She had a little argument with Aditya , apart from that I don't know anything, neither it's my place to tell you . You both are best friends for a reason , she will share it herself if she wants ."

"Okay , thanks !"
" Okay " he gave a curt reply before disconnecting the call.

On the other hand , deepti was preparing to leave the Sinha house , all the people noticed the slight change in her behaviour , but they didn't question her .
They wanted to give her space and not to push her .

Ryan after returning from his college in the evening entered her room, where her packed bags lied .

He directly went to the bed and nudged her a little with his hand , she was awake but not in the mood to talk with any , it has been almost 4 days since Aditya left but there was no reply of her message, no explanation except a curt reply that there is nothing like what she thinks it is .

" I know you are awake di , just get up ."

Deepti pulled the blanket a little up to avoid him , he knows that he is one of the most close person to her and it's much more than difficult to avoid him for her .

" You are not going anywhere di ,  I will ask someone to unpack all the things and to shift your belongings in your room . Your room is prepared already ."

Deepti was listening all this and was going to say something , ryan noticed him turning towards him a little " you are staying here , I don't want no as an answer "

" Ryan ! It can't be ."

" Why ? "
" I can't stay here ?"

" Di , I know you didn't felt home here , so you stayed there , I was 6 years old when I met you first and now I'm almost 20 , you stayed away from us for 14 years and after some time god knows you decides to get married and then will leave us for forever ."

He said his voice heavy with emotions .
Deepti sensed his heavy voice and sat up immediately as he also have attachment issues just like her but his case is much more saviour than her as he gets panick attack with overthinking he does .

Would deepti leave the sinha residence or choose to stay ...?
