Chapter 1: New beginnings

It's been a week since you've moved into your apartment. Throughout this time you've spent getting your rooms furniture. Today was going to be your first day. Although you aren't a freshman it felt that way with being in a completely different environment. You got up and grabbed your phone to see you'd received a text from your mom.

I'll call you once i'm in the car!!

You typed up a quick response before closing your phone and going to the restroom to start your morning. You still barely had any clothes, you needed to go to the mall and go on a shopping spree. The excitement for some shopping was creeping. You finished your skin care and hygiene and walked out to get ready.

You finished getting ready after 20 minutes. You walked out of your room. You remembered that Hitch told you that she took earlier classes. You walked out and started heading towards your car. You got inside and facetimed your mom.

"Hi my sweet girl!" Your mom exclaimed from your phone. A wide smile painted your face before you replied "Hi mommy, how's it been since i've left?"

"It's been hard. Your brother been giving me a hard time, more than ever" she looked down at her arm before panning her phone down to your baby brother. He was peacefully asleep with a pacifier in his mouth. You couldn't get a good look as you were driving.

"Send me a photo of him please" You said keeping your eyes on the road. Your mom replied with a nod and the two of you talked about the things that have happened. You gave her a brief update on your apartment and roommate. You two ended the call as you pulled into Eldia University. You walked to your class you were wondering who was going to be your professor.

Walking into your lecture hall and there seemed to be limited people in the class. After five minutes the room started to fill. You were sat with two girls they seemed to be friends. You three strikes up conversation they were easy flowing conversations. You went back on your phone only to hear the door. Expecting the professor instead seeing a guy with dark brown hair in a low bun stroll in. When he walked into the room it was like he commanded the attention of all others. He sat down with a group of boys and dapped them up. At this point you were debating leaving because it had been close to 15mins and your professor was still late.

Right as you were debating leaving the door opened and an old man walked in with sunken, tired eyes. He wore circle glasses and his hair was full of grey hairs with a full beard. "Hello My name is professor Zackary. Welcome to introductory Data Structures and Algorithms"

The lecture went as expected, going over the syllabus and what we would be doing throughout this course. After roughly forty-five minutes later the lecture was finished. Everyone was packing up and were getting ready to leave.

You walked down the steps and weren't paying attention as you were putting items into your bag. You bumped into a guy with short auburn hair and brown eyes. He looked at you with pure irritation. "You can't look up when you walk or something?" you looked up at him, your eyebrows strained with anger. 

"It was an accident" Your tone was harsh as you tried to walk away. "stupid bitch" you heard him mutter.

You turned around and looked at him "What the fuck did you say?" you knew it was better to just leave the situation but you felt immense anger.

"Didn't say shit. Are you trying to start something" He stepped up towards you to intimidate you.

"Say it with your chest next time, Pussy" You stepped up to him. As the two of you were getting more aggressive with one another. Two boys walked in between. "Floch fucking relax" A boy said you started to remember him he was the guy at your apartment that day. You looked at the brunette the two of you kept eye contact before you turned around and left. You opened your phone to see a text from Hitch

hey when ever your done with your lecture come to the dinning hall
I want you to meet some of the girls i'm friends with!!!

You walked into the dinning room and scanned the room to see hitch wave to you from where she was sitting with her friends. You walked over to the table before sitting down with the girls. You were greeted with a girl with shinny blonde hair that was in curls and a girl with brown hair pulled into a messy ponytail and soft freckles all over her face.

Hitch was sitting to the right side of them so you sat across from her to your left there was a girl with auburn hair pulled into a pony and to the left of her there was a girl with short black hair. All the women sitting at this table were so pretty. 

Hitch asked the girls to introduce themselves and the intros started to go around the table. Once it got to the girl closes to you, she told you that she also grew up in the countryside. You smiled and looked at hitch knowing she told her friend she gave you a big smile encouraging you to continuing your conversation.

You returned the smile before continuing with the girl named Sasha. "What area did you live in?" You asked "I lived in Dauper near the forest but I moved to Shigansgina when I was twelve" She replied

"You're lying I live in Dauper too! I'm near the riverside" You felt yourself starting to losen up in this conversation.

"My dad ended up moving back pretty recently after we adopted my sister" she smiled as she told you.

After a little while of you and Sasha talking about the country side the two of you found out you were only a five minute walk from each other. You two were convinced that when the next summer comes along you would be spending everyday in the lake behind your house.

You had conversations with everyone in the group. Everyone was intriguing in their own ways. You and sasha clicked right away. You two aren't super similar but you have similarities that make talking to her so fun. Mikasa was definitely shy but when she started to talking you could tell she felt more comfortable.

Historia was super kind, while speaking to her she started to remind you of a barbie doll not only in looks but in attitude as well. And for Ymir she wasn't much of a talker. You ended up trading socials with everyone and getting ready for your last class.

After your last lecture completed, you got into your car and got an incoming call from hitch. You answered and started to back out to the parking lot.

"Why didn't you tell me about what happened with Floch!" Hitch started the call off yelling 

"What about Hello, How are you, How was your lecture" You replied sarcastically

"please get serious bro"

"Didn't think it was that big of a deal to tell you to be honest" shrugging your shoulders as if she could see it.

Hitch hummed into her phone "we're gonna talk more about that when you get home but the first game and the first party are going to happen this weekend. Wanna come with me?"

"Sure, seems fun"

"Alright miss nonchalant see you when you come home" you could hear the sarcasm dripping in hitch's tone. You let out a loud laugh before saying goodbye and hanging up.

This is just the beginning of a long road.
