I couldn't focus. No matter how hard I tried to go over the reports in front of me, my mind was spinning. The events of last night replayed in my head on a loop-Jungkook, sneaking out of Sparkling Moon in that car, the number plate from the JianK diamond collection. It didn't make sense. Why was he there, and what was he hiding?

The more I thought about it, the angrier I became. My fingers tapped impatiently on the desk. I hadn't even seen him since arriving at the office, but I couldn't wait any longer. I needed answers. Now!

Without thinking, I stormed out of my office, practically bursting through the door of Jungkook's cabin. His head snapped up, eyes wide with surprise as I marched toward him, planting both my hands on his desk. He looked at me so innocently, as if nothing had happened, as if I wasn't standing there seething with questions. It only fueled my anger.

"What the hell were you doing last night, Jungkook?" I demanded, not bothering to ease into the conversation. There was no point in pretending we were on the same page.

For a moment, he just stared at me, blinking, before leaning back in his chair with a smirk that made my blood boil. "Last night?" he echoed casually. "Well, we have a lot going on with the new project. The clients are pushing for a faster deadline, and we really need to discuss the budget-"

I cut him off, slamming my hand on the desk again. "Don't play games with me! You know exactly what I'm talking about."

But instead of answering me directly, he just leaned forward, completely ignoring my question, and started rambling about business, contracts, timelines-anything but what I wanted to know. It was as if he was toying with me, twisting the conversation like a snake, dodging the truth.

My patience was wearing thin. "Jungkook," I snapped, my voice rising. "I swear, if you don't stop with this—"

And then, before I could finish, he was up. In an instant, he was in front of me, pinning me against my own desk. My breath hitched, my mind momentarily blank as I felt his hands close in on the desk beside me, his body just inches from mine. I wasn't expecting this-not this.

My heart raced. I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. His eyes were dark, intense, and for a split second, I forgot why I was even angry. His presence swallowed the room, overwhelming my senses. There was no kiss, but something in the way he hovered just close enough made my skin tingle, my throat tighten. I was stuck, completely frozen, pinned by the weight of his gaze and the proximity of his body.

For a moment, I wondered if he was going to say something-some smooth retort or explanation-but instead, he just lingered there, making it clear that he was in control. That I wouldn't get any answers unless he wanted to give them.
