After a long silence Catwoman spoke ''Siren, right?'' She grinned. How does she know that? Im not even in my disguise. She knows my identity? Did she see me use my powers?
She seemed to recognise what I was thinking and spoke again ''I've been following you around for some time now.''
I have to pay better attention i think to myself
She walked closer to me and threw her hand on my shoulder.
''Following me?'' I chocked out ''Don't flatter yourself Kitten. When I heard that a new cat-burglar was in town threatening my position I had to see what I was up against. Imagine my surprise when it was a child.'' ''I'm not a child, I'm 17'' I respond.
She let go of my shoulder and leaned against a brick wall. ''I saw you beat up that sicko, I'm impressed.'' She smiled.
She saw that?
"You have potential Kitten, what would you say if I asked you to be my 'apprentice' of some sorts.'' My heart dropped. Me? Her apprentice? That's insane! She is one of the most well-known thieves in Gotham and she wants us to work together?
She realized my shock and laughed smugly ''Kitty I don't expect you to answer right away'' She handed me a napkin with a phone number on it ''Call this number and we can meet up.'' She winked and was gone in an instance leaving me alone in the street again.
What just happend?
When I got home I told Sophie the whole story, leaving out the attack.
''you talked with catwoman?!" She yelled. ''Yes I did'' I giggled.
''But you're not going to work with her right?'' She looked at me with puppy eyes.
''I don't know Soph... Working with her would mean that we would earn a lot more money and thus being able to pay for your Boarding school.'' I said trying to make her see the benefits.
She pouted her face and folded her arms together. ''its not fair!'' ''I know its not fair but this is a huge opportunity for the both of us I cant just let that slide.'' I sighed and looked back down at the napkin.
I pointed at Sophie plate ''Eat your breakfast and pack your things, the bus will be here any second."
I walked into my bedroom and closed the door. I typed in the number and called, It immediately went over ''Hello Kitten, Have you made your decision?'' The sly voice said ''I have. But I need to talk to you before I tell you my decision.'' I said sternly ''Of course, meet me at Pauli's Diner in two hours.'' Before I could reply she hung up.
''dala! I'm ready!'' Sophie yelled as she walked into my room. ''Great lets go.''
