Fishes and Birds (nightwing x oc)

'Recon' Mission

"Aproaching dropzone Beta." Nightwing anounced to my team that consited of me, Aquaman and the Fishboy I still can't remeber the name of.

We are doing a recon mission of a small island in the middle of the Pacific. It's weird being so far away from home but luckly Sophie could stay over at a friends house, so she's not alone.

Suddently a hole form into the floor of the ship growing wider untill it was big enough for a person to fit through.

I quickly put on my mothers necklace and jump through the hole after Aquaman.

My tail forms and we start swimming twords very familiar looking gate. We each grab the doorway and at Aquamans sign we pull as hard as we can, opening the doors like a can.

We swim into an open area that we stay in untill the Bruce-Bat and his kids give us a sign to attack.

Fish boy shows a screen of what is happening outside the waters and it shows a man standing on a bridge in a black metal suit. He turns his body so now he's staring at us directly, and his helmet starts glowing red.

Suddently a laser shoots through the waters almost hitting me but I dodged it in time to keep my hands.

Aquaman and Fishboy jump out of the water and I follow them. "Are you kidding me!" I groan as I see those little green brats standing infront of us. But this time they send gigantic spider like robots to fight us instead. We all take on one and I immediatly stab my trident in the head of the machine.

The machine starts shaking and glitching out but it's still moving. The Robot raises an arm and at the end if it is a gun which almost shoots me by a hair.

I take my opportunity and stab my trident again, again and again into the head until it shuts down.

I jump off from the robot and run twords another one mutalating them just like the last. 

After killing my fourth Spider-Robot I look around for what else to do. I could help Brucie who seems busy fighting guards, or I can help- 

What is all that comotion about? I think to myself as I inch closer to the group that had formed opisite from a man with dark skin and blond short hair wearing this weird looking metal suit. I sneak around the crowd until im behind the man in metal and look around for a place to hide.

Then something catches my eyes, a tunnel, and at the end of this slide there is a red light. ANd before even giving it another thought I jump down and slide down to the bottom. The landing was harsh and I am going to feel it for a few days bu I bearly give it any thought as I marvel at where i've arrived.

"What's this place?" I mutter to myself.

It's a hollowed out cave with big stones pressed against the walls, A small pool. I hear another person sliding down the tunnel and I instictively hide behind a large rock in a dark corner.

A thump echoes through the cave and I peak out from behind the rock to see who followed me down here. And ofcourse it's Nightwing. 

Can't the little fucker just leave me alone?

My head shot back when I notised his head turn to me, he's running straight at me.

He slid next to me behind the rock and jumped up in shock. "What are you doing here?" He wisperd with an angry tone I did not appreciate. "I could ask you the same!" I yell but he quickly holds a finger infront of my lips telling me to shush.

Then I heard it, another person sliding down the tunnel. "Stay here." He wisperd.

Who does he think he is?! But I comply.

"Kaldur." Nightwing said as he escaped from our hiding spot. The man, presumibly named Kaldur spoke. "Just you and me old friend?" "No!" I heard a faint voice yell coming from the tunnel.

I peak my head slightly out of my safe space to see with my own eyes what is going on, and I recognise Superboy jump out from the hole. "It's a reunion special." He said.

This Kaldur must be an old friend of theirs.

Kaldur spoke "Fine, you can take me down, or you can save everyone from this bomb."

Another bomb?!

"I am told the yeild is quite impressive." Kaldur said smugly. Superboy ran at him yelling in anger but by the sound of it Kaldur took him down with ease.

Yea i'll just stay here.

"You have two minutes." Kaldur statesbefore he jumps into the pool and swims away.

So that pool leaves to an exit?

 I jump out from my hiding spot shocking Superboy who I helped up. "You where here this entire time?" "Yes." "This is alien tech. I cannot disarm it." Nightwing said notifying us while he was hunched over the large out of this world looking bomb planted against a stone wall.

"Ill get it out--" Superboy said. "No! It might have some sort of motion sensors. All squads evacuate the Bioship now!" Nightwing said in his earpiece.

We don't have enough time to get out the way we came in, so we have to take the closest exit.

I stand before the poolof water and turn around to face the men who were still discussing about how to escape. ''Grab onto my arms and i'll swim you guys out of here.'' I order the men who gave each other a worried glance before oblidging and each grabbing onto an arm.

I jump into the water and when my tail and gills are grown I start swimming like a mad man. There are many sharp turns but ultimatly we all come out unscaved into the ocean, when we arrive in the colder and fresher water I take my time to calm down, but I feel a pull at my sleeve and see Nightwing almost turning purple. 

I quickly swim up to shore and let the poor birdie breath. Superboy is fine however, probably because his daddy's Superman? I don't know much about the kids abilities to be honest.

After a few second we remember our ticking clock and we quickly run twords the bioship where the rest of the team where waiting for us.

All the steats are taken so I have to stand the whole flight back, great.

The ship tales off and M'gann flys away as fast as she can to hopefully avoid the wave of impact from the explosion, but she can't and the pressure hits the ship shakking it all over the place.

I fall over into someone who falls over aswell. We both crash into ground me falling into his arms. I look up to see who it was and yes, it's Nightwing.

Why can't the fucker stay away from me! And why won't he let go of me!

I jank myself out of his grip and stand up giving him a nasty look but not uttering a word, he shares the same look and stands up himself.

A sharp pain hits me in my heart.

Do I feel... bad for being mean to him..?
