After the incident, Claire and Cate knew they needed to give each other their memories back. Without hesitation, they both bolted into the kitchen, emotions running high. Cate was in tears, her eyes bloodshot and puffy, the weight of everything crashing down on her. Claire, on the other hand, seemed eerily calm, almost as if none of it phased her. While Cate struggled with her blood-red eyes, Claire didn't have the same issue-but every time she used her powers, her nose would bleed profusely.

"Cate, look at me," Claire said, her tone steady but urgent. "Do you want to feel better?"

Cate could barely nod through her tears, her body trembling. "I'm gonna grab your hand, and at the same time, we'll both say, 'Be happy.' Okay?" Claire instructed softly.

Cate, still shaking, nodded again. With a mutual understanding, they both took off their gloves. The sensation of skin meeting skin felt electric, dangerous.

"Be happy," they spoke in unison, their voices laced with hope but tinged with uncertainty.

For a second, nothing happened. The room remained still. Then, suddenly, Claire's nose began to bleed even more violently than before, the crimson stream running down her face. Her body wavered, and before anyone could react, she collapsed, hitting the floor hard. At the same time, Cate started to seize, her body convulsing uncontrollably.

Max and Jordan, who had been watching from a distance, rushed over. They had been skeptical of trusting the two, but the sight of their unconscious bodies shattered that doubt. Max knelt beside Claire, immediately checking for a pulse, while Jordan frantically tried to help Cate.

"We need help! Now!" Jordan shouted, his voice echoing through the room as panic set in.

Within seconds, Marie and Andre burst into the kitchen, their eyes wide with confusion and fear.

"Claire, hey, please wake up!" Max begged, despite his earlier doubts about her. Despite everything, he still loved her.

"Holy shit, what happened?" Marie asked, her voice strained.

"I think they used their powers on each other, but then Claire just passed out, and Cate started seizing," Jordan explained quickly, his hands trembling as he tried to steady Cate.

"When they push too far, it messes with their heads. Cate's is just... worse," Andre added, his voice laced with concern.

"Didn't you learn CPR?" Marie asked, her voice rising with panic.

"Why the hell would we know CPR?" Max yelled back, his hands trembling as he felt Claire's pulse weaken.

"Where would we have learned it?" Jordan added, exasperated.

"At superhero school? Jesus!" Marie snapped back, clearly stressed.

"Her pulse is slowing," Andre said grimly as he hovered over Cate.

"Marie! Do something, help her!" Max pleaded, his eyes wild with fear as he glanced from Claire to Cate.

"How? What if it kills her?" Marie asked, her voice cracking with terror. The weight of using her powers on a friend was overwhelming.

"Just do it!" Andre shouted, his voice sharp.

Marie's hands shook as she knelt beside Cate. She hesitated for only a moment before using her blood manipulation powers, her fingers trembling as she tried to stabilize Cate's pulse. Slowly, the seizing stopped. Cate was unconscious but alive, lying still on the floor, the same as Claire.

"Move them to the living room," Max commanded, taking charge as he scooped Claire into his arms. Andre did the same with Cate, and they gently laid the two unconscious women on the couch.
