Dragon Hall , the dwelling of the most renowned villain in the world. The serpent from hell...

"Hi, mom"

Maleficent, the mistress of evil, the hell spawn of fae, killer of kings, my mother. You'd think she's just as terrible as the stories would tell you, but they're wrong, my mother by no means is a saint, but she's not a monster. She was treated like dirt by the community that was supposed to help the next generation of heroes. All her actions were just, she got dealt shitty cards and the cheaters got mad when she decided to stop playing.

"Beasty, there you are."

She caresses my face, and we share a look. Her eyes burn a permanent image into my head, speaks of those my mother has come across.

"Did you need something?"

"Oh yes, you and your little "troupe" have been summoned to attend a school in, what was the name of the damned place....Ah! Auradon"

Shock doesn't describe it; I look to see my so-called partners try to run off but get stopped by my mother's goons.

"I am not going to that prissy pink boarding school for nepo-babies."

"And princes.... Don't forget the prince's."

I turned my head to Evie the glare was meant to mean that this is not the time for her to be a fan girl.

"I personally don't do uniforms, I don't like being told what to do all that much either."

Jay shoved past his dad, almost knocking him to the ground, one time he tried to force him to steal from one of us, specifically Evie and Carlos. That was the first time a young Jay would tell his father no; it didn't turn out well for him, jafar did something just plain cruel.

After that day jay hasn't willingly spoken to, about or around his father, in all complete honesty after that he wanted to kill his dad.... We wanted to kill his dad....

"Yeah, and I heard they let dogs into that place, and mom told me they're rabid animals that rip out the throats out of Disobedient boys!"

I watched Jay sneak up behind los and bark, that made los yelp and bolt in the opposite direction. He gets snatched up by mom's lackeys and we laugh.

"Yeah, mom forget it, we're not going."

"Well, it's not up to you or me, it was declared by the prince."

"Who?"

"The big dog man's puppy" my mother snickered.

"Oh, that guy?"

I turn my head and point at a picture of a guy with brown hair and suit on a poster that reads "Prince Benjamin in line to be crowned king in the coming months." But why is this dude so set on forcing us into candy land?

"Still why would we go there? I personally have no need to be a charity case for a separate prince."

She leans in closer to me and places a hand on my shoulder.

"I cannot say much here due to certain.... individuals."
I noticed the isle patrol officers terribly creeping around the corner.

"Aright we'll see you for dinner."

She nods in acceptance of my words. I may not fully understand what she or that puppy dog wants out of us going to Auradon, but it seems like we're going to get off this island.

[Later on, in the day, at the tree house]

The four vks crept into their dorm of solitude and have been sitting there for a few hours, Mal lies down on the worn-down couch in the corner, sketching away on whatever newspaper or chunk of cardboard she could find, lost in thought, letting her marker glide on the paper and bleed into the foundation.
