We both showered, changed and now we were sitting on the couch together, watching Orange is the New Black. She brought her own clothes this time, I was disappointed to not see her in mine. The thought of her showering in my bathroom was enough for me. Jesus, Andi. You sound like a creep.
"Okay, who do you think is hotter, Alex or Piper?" Elle asks, putting another piece of popcorn in her mouth. "Answer carefully, this is a personality defining question." she said playfully, watching my face.
"I'd say Alex." I answered honestly, her and Elle shared the same long dark hair and piercing eyes. "Satisfied with that answer?" I laugh at her serious expression.
"I would've thought you would've said Piper to be honest," she looks back at the TV, "she seems more your type." I watch her expression, confused.
"My type? How do you know what my type is?" I laugh at her, throwing a piece of popcorn at her face.
"Well, Carmen for one, blonde hair, blue eyes, total generic white girl Piper vibes." Elle said, in a weird tone. Whoa, was she jealous?
"Firstly, Carmen's Columbian. Secondly her hair was brown and so were here eyes!" I laugh at her, correcting every point she made.
"Course you'd remember the colour of her eyes..." Elle trailed off, refusing to admit defeat.
"Your eyes are blue, with little flecks of yellow and green." I say to her, facing the TV. I could see a blush creep over her face.
"Whateverrrr..." She groaned. "Blue eyes are easy to remember," she added. How could I ever forget yours?
"How was it anyway? With Carmen?" Elle asked, not taking her eyes off the TV.
I didn't know how to answer her, "it was okay." I shrugged.
"Okay?" Elle laughed. "That bad, huh?" she poked fun at me.
"I dunno, it was just, okay." She wasn't you. I shrugged again, eating some more popcorn.
Elle flicked her legs up over mine. "You seem like a heartbreaker."
"Heartbreaker's a good song by Marina and the Diamonds." I smiled, putting one hand over her knee, pulling her legs closer to me.
"Idiot." She says, digging her heel into my thigh.
We watched in silence for a few more minutes.
"Have you spoken to her? Carmen?" She asked, not looking away from the TV. Why did she care?
"Not since that night." A half truth, reminding me that I forgot to reply to her messages.
She said nothing.
"Maybe you should, you could use someone that'd get you out the house more now you're not working," she said in an unreadable tone.
I've got you?
"Maybe." is all I said in response.
She didn't look away from the TV, I reminded myself that the feelings I was having were one sided.

Elle and I started hanging out more, almost everyday. She didn't have a whole lot else to do from what I had gathered, so she was here, sitting on my couch and watching TV shows until she'd go back to Mikes to sleep, or until she'd fall asleep on the couch.
Neil had organised for us to go play laser tag later tonight and watch a movie. Some new horror movie out in cinema. I was just happy to be hanging out with them.
