Giyuu's POV: (Please notice the fact that they are 12 years old, and both have mobile phones.)
—————————

"Shinobu, wait for meeee!!" I shouted. Me and my bestfriend in the whole world were playing a game called 'ding dong ditch' in our neighbourhood.

It was my turn to prank a house, and this house will be none other than the Rengoku family. I was scared, but it was the game after all.

Quietly, I snuck up to the porch of the decently sized house. The wooden floors were a dark brown, facing towards the door.

Summoning enough stamina to run away, I lifted my hand up and knocked 3 times on the white door. I sprinted away as fast as I could towards the place me and Kocho decided we would meet.

By the time I had left the house, I heard the door creak open. I sped across the sidewalk, already heaving from running.

Swiftly, I jumped over the small hedges surrounding the nearby park. It was a 2 minute run from my house, me and Shinobu would always play here.

I made my way towards the bushes. There was an opening inside of it, almost like a dome. Me and Shinobu had claimed it as our own spot, so if any of us needed time alone we would come here.

Entering the opening, I bent over, resting my hands on my knees. I was huffing and puffing, trying to regain my breath.

Luckily, that was the last house we were going to prank. After this, we would go to the arcade! I am actually planning on telling her.. a secret let's say.

Finally regaining my breath after at least a minute, I stood back up and gazed around. My eyes landed on the shorter girl.

However, she didn't look happy nor was she paying attention. Her gaze was glued to her phone that rested in her lap.

Trying not to startle her, I moved over to her side. I sat next to her, finally alerting the girl that I was present.

"I'm sorry Giyuu." Was all she said. Confused, I looked at her. Tears were gathering at the bottom of her eyes.

"Hey, why are you crying?" I lifted my hand up and cupped her cheek. I caressed under her eyes, removing the tears.

"M-my parents..they want me to come home earlier." Now I was definitely confused. Why was she getting worked up on going home early.

"I see! Thats fine, we will play tomorrow." She looked at me with a pained expression.
"Giyuu..I'm moving across the country tonight."

"H-huh? Why are you.." My voice broke. Would Shinobu really be leaving? Ever since my parents died, I've only ever had her, Tsutako and Sabito to help me through it.

Mainly, Shinobu is the reason why I smile. I wouldn't be able to live normally anymore.
"I'm sorry giyuu.. but here! Take this.." She handed me the clip out of her hair.

It was a small purple butterfly, similar to the colour of the tips of her hair.
"Never forget me..we will meet again Giyuu.." With that she stood up.

Before she left though, she quickly leant back down and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I would have blushed like crazy if I wasn't so close to crying.

As soon as she did it, she sped out of the opening, leaving me there with unanswered questions. Why was she moving so suddenly? Why would she leave everybody, why would she leave me..

Tears escaped from my eyes finally. I was finally going to confess; now I lost the chance to. Additionally, I will probably never see her again.
Why? Just why..

It took me about 5 minutes to regain my composure, and already I was unable to smile. Of course Shinobu would leave me, am I just not worth it?

I gazed back down at the clip placed in my palm. Carefully, I lifted it up and attached it to a strand of hair of mine. I will always look for you, Shinobu.
