Only the wind could be heard as All Might, the legendary Symbol of Peace, stood still after hearing what Izuku Midoriya asked him. Y/N stared at the greatest hero in the world, his face as expressionless as usual, but inside of his head, he was secretly begging All Might to give his brother the answer he deserved to hear.
Y/N: (thoughts) Please, All Might. Please, tell him that he can be a hero, even if he doesn't have a quirk.
Izuku: Even if I'll never have superpowers...
As he spoke, Izuku could hear the voices of the past, from the doctor, to Bakugo, to his mother.
Izuku: Even if almost everyone thinks I'm useless...
Y/N looked at his brother with worry. He knew what he meant. For he also remembered those same words from different people. But Izuku had one memory that had kept him with his hopes up.
(flashback) Three years ago...
Y/N: Izuku and I are going to be the next greatest heroes in the world! Screw what everyone else says! And I won't let anyone like you get in our way!
(end flashback)
Izuku: (voiceover) Y/N was the only one who ever believed in me. And I inspired him to try to become a hero. He trained so hard, so that way, he could get strong enough to try to get us both into U.A
Izuku: I'm a normal kid without any powers. Could I ever hope to be someone like you? (whimpers) Without a quirk?
All Might looked back at the young boy. Before he could even respond, he grunted as he flinched, his body beginning to let out smoke.
All Might: (thoughts) Oh, no. Not now, dammit! Not here!
Y/N stared at what was happening in surprise while Izuku faced the floor, not noticing what was happening.
Izuku: People think I don't have a chance.
Y/N: Izuku...
Izuku: That not having any powers makes me some kinda weakling.
Y/N: Izuku...
Izuku: My classmates like to make fun of me.
Y/N: Izuku...
Y/N didn't want to interrupt his brother, but he felt that he should see what was happening to his idol.
Izuku: But you know what? That makes me wanna prove them wrong.
