Elaina stared at the bodies below her in shock, she couldn't help but doubt her own eyes, it seemed way to convenient to just find random dead bodies, but yet below her she saw them, littered around like nobodies buisness, but she wanted to question how they got there but hunger blocked out reason and she jumped over the bridge carefull to land on her feet. Ready to feast.
Elaina tore into the bodies with a fervour that bordered on madness, her every bite filled with a savage kind of ecstasy. She relished the taste of flesh, savoured the way it yielded under her teeth, the way bones cracked with a satisfying snap. She hadn't been this hungry in a long time. The bodies beneath her were already dead, their skin cold from the life that had long since drained away, victims of suicide and their own despair. But to Elaina, their deaths were a gift-a feast laid before her to restore what she had lost.
The first body-an older man-was lean, with sinewy muscles that tore easily from his bones. She gripped his arm with her vines, pulling it taut before she sank her teeth into his shoulder, the flesh parting easily. A low moan of pleasure escaped her lips as the blood filled her mouth, metallic and warm despite the chill in the air. She chewed slowly, savouring the texture, feeling the energy from his flesh surge through her.
It was like this for each one. A young woman, her skin pale and soft, tasted different-sweeter, perhaps. Elaina didn't care to dissect the reasons; she only knew that every bite brought her closer to being whole.
By the time she finished with the fifth body, her entire being was buzzing with energy. Her senses sharpened, the world around her coming into startling clarity. She could hear the distant hum of the city, the faint rush of cars, the quiet rustle of leaves as the wind swept through. Everything was so... alive.
She stretched, letting her vines recede back into her body, and wiped the blood from her lips with the back of her hand. It was time to go back.

Elaina slipped back into the house as silently as she had left, her senses now heightened, allowing her to avoid detection easily. Mr. Benson and Sarah were both asleep.
The first thing she did was take a bath, scrubbing the remnants of her meal from her skin, washing away the blood that had stained her hands and arms. The water turned pink as it swirled down the drain, but Elaina didn't mind. She enjoyed the warmth, letting it seep into her bones, relaxing her muscles after the hunt.
When she was clean, she tucked her bloodstained clothes into a black leather bag, mentally noting to dispose of them properly later. She then slipped back into the bed wishing she had the luxury of being asleep like Sofia, she played with her wines weaving them into uneven thick braids testing their strength and resistance to pressure until morning

Sofia woke up feeling... better. Stronger. Her limbs didn't ache the way they usually did, and the hunger that gnawed at her stomach had subsided.
Something was off.
"Elaina," she whispered, sitting up, her voice trembling slightly. "What did you do?"
"I ate" Elaina replied, her tone casual as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"Who did you kill?" Sofia's voice was louder now, panic creeping into her chest.
"No one you need to worry about," Elaina said smoothly. "I found a bridge full of suicide victims. They had already given up on life."
Sofia frowned. "I don't believe you. Show me."
Before Elaina could respond, there was a knock on the door. Sofia flinched, her heart racing, but Elaina remained calm.
"It's just Sarah," Elaina murmured, retreating into the back of Sofia's mind.
