It was the first day of September, and Dylan couldn't be any happier.
Her birthday was next month, and she still hadn't fully figured out what she was wanting to do.
She knew she needed a vacation though. She sat in the break room at her job, staring off into the distance, thoughts of Roman flooding her mind, and just remembering the last time they saw each other made her involuntarily bite her lip.
He did her body so right that she could still feel it. She could only imagine what he would do to her once he actually got his hands on her. Just the very thought of that made her yoni grow a heartbeat.
As she sat there with a silly smile on her face, the older lady that filed the patient records came through the doors of the lounge.
She usually sat by herself during lunch and didn't say much, but for some weird reason today, she walked over to where Dylan was and took a seat directly next to her.
The people in the office called her Mrs. Ernestine, and although no one really knew her exact age, she had to be in her late 60's, and she'd been at that particular dentist office for over 45 years.
Looking at her with a surprised glare, Mrs Ernestine looked at Dylan in what seemed liked the first time in months, and she wore a gentle smile.
"Hey baby. I don't know whatchu believe in, but I know you gone be alright. God wanted me to tell ya that." She said plainly, patting her hand softly.
Dylan looked at her in confusion, but just went along with it to be respectful.
"Umm, thank you Mrs E. I appreciate that."
She fake smiled, not knowing what the hell she was talking about.Getting up to grab her things so she could get back to work, Mrs E gripped her arm tightly, looking her intensely in the eyes.
"I'm serious, sweetie. Just watch ya back, and everything will be okay. Everybody don't have ya best interest baby."
Dylan lightly snatched her arm back from Mrs E, fear bubbling behind her unreadable expression.
She didn't know what the hell took over Mrs E, but Dylan thought maybe it was dementia or something of that nature, because this behavior was unusual for her."Okay, thank you Mrs E." She rushed out, making sure she had all her things before busting through the doors to the time clock, placing her badge against it. She clocked back in quickly, briskly walking back to her work area.
"The fuck?" She said under her breath.
That had to be one of the creepiest experiences she ever had, but instead of dwelling on it and freaking herself out more, she decided she would just avoid Mrs E for the rest of her shift and do her job until it was time to go home.3 hours later
"Who got you smiling at your phone like that? Is it that Roman guy?" Renee asked while stirring some homemade Alfredo sauce into the sauce pan, mixing it in with her penne noodles.
Dylan had just made it to her parent's house for dinner, and since it was a Friday evening, she decided that she'd finally tackle the hard task of talking to her father about Colby.
She wanted to at least speak to him with Renee around, since she knew how to calm him in a way that Dylan couldn't.
And what better time to do it than over a delicious home cooked meal from his wife and daughter?
