Peter thought back on the video he saw. Richard, Mary, May, and Benjamin Parker loved him. This whole time the boy thought HYDRA cared for him. Now that the base was destroyed, they had left. Abandoned him like trash. They threw him away.
To them he was a weapon. To Richard he was his son. The teen reminisced on his father's tender voice.
"I might not live to see you become an adult, or even six years old, but your mother and I have finally accepted that. I love you, son."
His voice was gentle and caring. If he survived that plane crash, the kid knew he would've been a great father. His mother too. Benjamin could've given him advice to the boy throughout his life. May could've told her stories and spoil him with everything.
The brunette suddenly gained memories. It hit him like a raging tsunami. A stream of it was rushing through his brain. Pieces of them were shown before the next.
-----
"Happy 5th Birthday Peter!" His mother shouted. Instantly his father scooped the little boy. He raised him up in the air."Happy Birthday Son!" Richard shouted. He laughed. "Papa put me down! I'm a grown up!!" He pouted. "I don't see a mustache Peter." Uncle Ben chuckled.DING.
"Cake is ready, let's put frosting on it Peter." May sweetly said. His father set him down and he ran to help his aunt on the cake.
----------
"We have to go Peter." Mary said. Peter's parents had just told him that they were going to Oscorp's 2007 presentation. "No! No! No! Please, don't leave me!" He yelled, tearing up. "Son. Don't worry, we'll only be gone for a week. How about this, of you behave I'll bring you back a souvenir?" His father offered. "Okay, I will." Peter sniffles. They gave a family hug. Richard ruffled the little boy's hair before leaving."Goodbye, son. See you soon."
----------
"They died in a plane crash." A man said."Mama and papa?" He cried. Sobbing his uncle carried the child. "There, there." Although he seemed emotionally strong, secretly he was crying too. Uncle Ben tried to keep Peter from looking, it failed. May bawled into a handkerchief.
A week later they held a funeral for Peter's parents. They, again, all cried. For weeks after, the boy would throw rage fits or whine for his parents to come back. He was a mess and didn't know how to process his parents death.
----------
"Hey Peter, come here." May gently said. A couple of months have passed since the death of his father and mother. "Yes auntie?" He quietly said. She noticed his tear stained face. Aunt May gave a gloomy look. Then the woman smiled."For your sixth birthday me and Ben, after many conversations, have decided to give you this." A box with three tiny holes was given to the boy. "What is it?" He asked. "It's your father's last spider he kept in his lab locked up, the rest of them died from that plane crash."
He opened the box and saw a bright red and blue spider. "Here put it in this cage." May kindly said. "Okay." Once he put the spider there his aunt spoke again. "Happy Birthday." The boy teared up, "Thank you." They gave each other a hug.
----------
"Peter, what are you doing?" Ben asked. The small kid began crying. "I t-tried to pick u-up the spi-der but then it b-bit me and then i-it died!!" His uncle swiftly rushed to him. "Are you ok?!" The child covered his ears from the sudden increase hearing.
