Apollo grabbed the son of Poseidon as gently as he could, flashing both of them to Will before any of the accompanying gods had time to speak.
"Will?!"
"Yeah, dad? What's u- oh, shit. Okay."
The sun God lay the black-haired boy down on an infirmary bed, face a mask of worry.
"Apollo, I'm gonna pull the knife out, and you need to channel all of your energy into healing him."
"He'll bleed out!"
"That's why I said to use all of your energy."
Pressing his fingers against Percy's forehead, a soft golden glow wrapped around the injured demigod's body, keeping him away from death.
Will carefully pulled the knife out and set it on a tray, before grabbing the supplies he needed to clean the wound.
Thankfully, it wasn't too dirty.
Apollo watched with growing anxiety, and as soon as the injury had been cleaned he healed it, golden threads acting like stitches before solidifying into scarred skin.
"Will he be okay?"
"Too early to tell," the demigod said grimly. "The likelihood is he'll pull through. I mean, he's Percy Jackson."
The god nodded, wiping the blood off of the son of Poseidon's face and healing the cut there as well.
It left a scar.
Apollo wanted to murder Tartarus.
Bring him back to life just to send him back.
He'd scarred the Hero of Olympus.
He'd scarred Apollo's soon-to-be lover.
He exhaled shakily, tucking the unconscious demigod into bed.
If it was a waiting game the fates wanted, it was a waiting game that he would play.
