You didn't know what to do. Day by day, you were slowly going insane. You didn't know why you kept coming back to life every single time you died, you didn't even know how it was humanly possible but it happened.

You were sick of this. You even tried to end your life yourself and how did that end? It didn't. You just came back again. Your sanity was wearing off, not even slowly anymore.

Pushing open the doors to the library, you let out a sigh and crouched down, watching Figure destroy the lamp at the side of the library.

Fucking dramatic shit.

You pulled out a clock that you had found by the desk in room 49 and crawled over to the middle of the library, wound it up and then left it there. Then you crawled away and searched for books.

It didn't even take that long for the thing to start ringing violently, catching the entity's attention immediately. It ran over to the clock and stomped on it aggressively, then started furiously roaring. Was it going fucking feral?

You don't even know what happened, but the next thing you knew it was running toward you at full speed. It grabbed you in its two hands, suddenly biting your head off and fucking decapitating you with no remorse.

Little shit.

Now you were stuck in water, floating in pure darkness as the 'friend' you called Guiding light floated in front of you, his blue glow shining through the darkness.

"The Hotel isn't a simple place," he whispered, his voice low and soothing yet still echoing around your ears. "You died to the Figure. It cannot see, yet it will use vibrations and sounds to its advantage."

You let out a deep sigh, not even knowing how you did when you were in water. Oh, right.

You're dead.

"You've done well, don't give up!" he reassured you, but just as he was about to send you back, you suddenly stopped him urgently.

"Stop!" you exclaimed, holding out your hands. He hesitated, blinking before looking at you. "Please, don't send me back there! I cannot stand another day in that hell, I'm going insane by the day!"

Guiding Light raised a brow at you, lowering his hand. "Excuse me?" he asked, "my dear, I'm afraid I cannot leave you here in my possession. I'll get punished and maybe worse."

You felt tears welling up in your eyes at that. Angry tears. "What are you, a coward?!" you exclaimed with pure rage and sadness. "You're a spirit! They can't even touch you!"

"Says who?"

"Says me, that's who!"

He let out a deep sigh, looking away before raising his hand again, making you flinch.

"No!! N-No, I'm sorry!" you exclaimed, begging him not to send you back. "Please, I'm so sorry! But I cannot last another second in that place, it's the same thing everyday!"

Guiding Light looked back down at you, swallowing sharply while his gaze softened a little. Was he actually feeling something..? Pity, was it? Oh, he couldn't remember. The English dictionary was too much work to understand.

Lowering his hand once more, he paused for a second before gliding over to you and resting a hand under your chin, lifting your head up. His touch was tender, gentle. Comforting.

He took in your appearance silently, taking a deep breath before his eyes narrowed. "Oh dear," he mumbled. "You must have gone insane, you poor thing."

Eh? What was he on about? Well, he was right, that was one thing. Maybe your brain just couldn't process it in time. When you were about to ask, he suddenly wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into a hug.

How the fuck could he touch you..?

"Darling," he rasped soothingly in your ear. "You're safe here. I promise."

You didn't know what to say. He was feeling emotions, something he hadn't done since you met him. But your heart won over your mind and all of a sudden your tears spilled down your cheeks.

The feeling of his hand moving up and down your back soothingly was enough to make you feel safe as you had a good cry.

"I don't trust anyone usually, (Y/N)," Guiding Light told you, giving your head a gentle kiss for comfort. "Please. Don't make me regret this, sweetheart."
