The discovery in Sir Reginald's study left Luther and Klaus stunned into silence. Luther's large hands carefully flipped through the worn pages of the leather-bound journal, his brow furrowing deeper with every word he read. The journal was filled with cryptic notes, diagrams, and sketches—none of it made sense at first. But the further he read, the clearer the message became.

Klaus, never one to enjoy the weight of serious matters, hovered over Luther's shoulder, squinting at the pages. "Oh great, more of Dad's bedtime stories," he said with a dismissive wave of his hand. "Let me guess—secret experiments, dangerous powers, and 'I know better than all of you.' Classic Reggie."

Luther didn't respond. His eyes were glued to one particular passage. The ink was darker here, as if Sir Reginald had pressed harder, his writing becoming frantic. He muttered the words aloud as he read them:

"Two forces. One of light, one of darkness. Together, they will either bring about salvation or ruin. They are the balance—and the tipping point."

Klaus paused, his smirk fading. "Okay, that sounds a little more serious. What else does it say?"

Luther flipped to the next page, where a hand-drawn diagram of eight stars formed a circle. The eighth star was highlighted in red. It pulsed with some kind of symbolism they didn't yet understand.

"Reginald knew about Zara," Luther whispered. "He knew she was... different."

Klaus raised an eyebrow. "Different how? We're all a little different, Luther."

"No," Luther said, shaking his head. "This is something else. There's more here about Zara than about any of us. It's like he was preparing for her to be something... dangerous."

"Dangerous?" Klaus echoed, his voice filled with curiosity rather than concern. "Dangerous like Viktor?"

Luther shot Klaus a sharp look. "You know it's not the same."

Klaus shrugged. "All I'm saying is that we've been through this song and dance before. Big powers, big mistakes, big drama. Zara's just the latest episode in the dysfunction series."

But Luther wasn't convinced. He read on, his voice growing more tense with each sentence.

"He believed Zara could be the key to the apocalypse," Luther said, his eyes darting across the page. "But she could also be the one to stop it. He wrote that if her powers aren't controlled, she could ignite a chain of events that would unravel everything."

"Apocalypse again? Man, I thought we were done with that," Klaus said, his attempt at humor falling flat. He slumped into a chair, suddenly feeling the gravity of the situation. "So what do we do? Tell her she's some kind of ticking time bomb? That's bound to go over well."

"I don't know yet," Luther muttered, closing the journal. "We have to find out more before we say anything."

Across the mansion, Zara and Viktor moved cautiously through the hallways, both of them still rattled by the strange surge of power in the attic. Viktor, who understood all too well the burden of uncontrollable power, remained quiet but alert. Zara's steps were quicker, more frantic, as if she were running from the storm she felt brewing inside her.

"I'm telling you, Viktor, it's not going away," Zara said, her voice strained. "It's getting worse. I can feel it building, like something is trying to break out. And I can't control it."

Viktor nodded, his expression sympathetic. "I know what that's like. But you have to stay calm. If you panic, it only gets harder to manage."

"I'm not like you," Zara snapped, her frustration bubbling to the surface. "You've always had control, or at least you knew what you were capable of. I have no idea what's happening to me."

Viktor stopped in his tracks, his calm demeanor hiding the storm of memories beneath. "I didn't always have control. And look what happened when I didn't. I nearly destroyed everything. But you—you can learn. We can figure this out."

Zara turned away, running her hands through her hair as she tried to steady herself. "But what if we can't? What if I'm the reason for this new apocalypse?"

Viktor's voice softened. "Then we'll stop it, just like we did last time."

Zara wanted to believe him, but doubt gnawed at her. Ever since she had come back to the Umbrella Academy, things had felt off. Her powers had always been difficult to handle, but now they felt... alive. Like they had a will of their own, and they were growing stronger. The buzzing energy under her skin had become more constant, more aggressive, and she didn't know how much longer she could keep it from exploding.

Before Zara could respond, Allison appeared at the end of the hall. She had a look of quiet determination on her face, the kind she wore when things were about to get serious.

"Luther and Klaus found something," she said without preamble. "You both need to see it."

The siblings regrouped in the study, the heavy air of secrets and tension palpable. Luther handed Zara the journal, watching her closely as she skimmed through the pages.

Her hands tightened around the leather binding as she read Sir Reginald's ominous words. She could feel everyone's eyes on her, waiting for her reaction.

"This... this can't be right," Zara muttered, though deep down, she knew it felt disturbingly accurate. "He thought I would cause the apocalypse? Why wouldn't he tell me any of this?"

"Probably because he didn't trust us with that kind of information," Five said flatly from the corner. He had been quietly observing, already piecing together how this revelation fit into their current crisis.

"We don't know for sure what this means," Luther added quickly, sensing Zara's growing panic. "But we know one thing—if Reginald thought you were the key, then maybe you're also the key to stopping it."

Zara's head was spinning. It was too much, too fast. She had only just come back to the academy, and now they were telling her that she was at the center of another world-ending disaster? She didn't want this. She didn't want any of it.

Viktor stepped forward, placing a hand on Zara's shoulder. "You're not alone in this," he said quietly. "We'll figure it out. Together."

Zara looked around at her siblings, each of them so different yet bound by the same strange fate. She wanted to believe in Viktor's words, to trust that they could stop whatever was coming. But the dark, gnawing feeling inside her told her that this was only the beginning.

Just then, Five spoke up, his voice cutting through the heavy silence. "We don't have much time to sit around and speculate. The apocalypse isn't going to wait for us to figure out our family drama. We need to find out what's causing this cascade of events, and fast."

Diego, who had been uncharacteristically quiet, finally spoke. "And how do we do that? We barely know what we're up against."

Five's face was grim. "There's one place that might have answers."

Allison raised an eyebrow. "Where?"

Five's eyes gleamed with a knowing look. "The Commission."

The room fell silent again as the weight of his words sank in. The Commission—the time-bending organization that had tried to control them all—was their only lead.

"We're going back there?" Luther asked, his voice filled with uncertainty.

"We don't have a choice," Five said, already preparing to make the jump through time. "If we don't figure this out soon, Zara's powers will be the least of our problems."

Zara swallowed hard, feeling the growing pressure of the situation. Her powers were unpredictable, and now, with this new revelation, she wasn't sure if she could trust herself anymore. But she had no choice.

It was time to face the truth—and the ticking clock of destruction.

---

As Five opened a portal, the swirling blue energy lighting up the room, the siblings exchanged glances. One by one, they stepped through, ready to face whatever awaited them on the other side.
