The world flickered and bent as the Umbrella Academy tumbled through the shimmering blue portal. Time warped around them, distorting their perception of reality. Seconds felt like hours, and hours felt like mere moments. The sensation was nauseating, but none of them complained—they’d been through worse.

When they finally landed, the familiar cold atmosphere of The Commission’s headquarters greeted them. The sterile, metallic hallways stretched out in all directions, just as eerily organized as they remembered.

Five was the first to regain his bearings, his sharp eyes scanning their surroundings. “We don’t have time to dawdle. Stick together, and keep an eye out for anyone who might try to stop us.”

Allison straightened her jacket, looking around warily. “So what exactly are we looking for here? Information about Zara? Or more about this apocalypse?”

“Both,” Five replied. “There’s bound to be something in the archives. The Commission monitors every timeline. If there’s a new apocalypse on the horizon, they’ll have records of it. And if Zara’s involved… well, they’ll know that too.”

Klaus groaned, rubbing his temples. “Oh great, back to the good ol’ Commission. I was hoping we’d never have to deal with these psychos again. Remember the last time we were here? Pure chaos.”

Diego, ever the tactician, was already on high alert, his eyes scanning for threats. “Let’s just get in, find what we need, and get out. No unnecessary fights.”

Viktor, staying close to Zara, spoke quietly to her. “Are you okay? I know this is a lot.”

Zara swallowed hard. She could feel her powers humming beneath the surface, pulsing with an energy she was struggling to keep in check. “I don’t know if I’m okay,” she admitted. “But I don’t have a choice, do I?”

Viktor gave her a small, encouraging smile. “We’ve all been there. You’ll figure it out.”

Zara wasn’t so sure. The weight of the journal’s revelations hung heavy on her mind. Could she really be the cause of the next apocalypse? What if Sir Reginald was right? What if she was destined to destroy everything?

Before she could spiral further into doubt, Five waved them forward. “Come on. The archives are this way.”

They moved swiftly through the winding corridors, avoiding the prying eyes of Commission agents. Five led them through secret passages and back doors he remembered from his time as an assassin for the organization. Every now and then, they passed a patrol or an agent, but Five’s quick thinking and expert knowledge of the building kept them hidden.

Finally, they reached the archives. The large, imposing doors stood before them, locked tight with advanced security measures.

“Well, how do we get in?” Allison asked, crossing her arms. “You can’t just knock.”

Five grinned, already pulling a small device from his coat. “You underestimate me.” He pressed a few buttons, and the door slid open with a mechanical hiss. “After you.”

As they stepped into the archives, the overwhelming sight of endless rows of files, monitors, and data banks stretched before them. The room was vast, with information from every timeline in existence stored within its walls. The air buzzed with the quiet hum of machines processing infinite data.

“We need to find the file on the apocalypse,” Five said, making a beeline for one of the data terminals. “Viktor, Zara—come with me. The rest of you, keep watch and make sure we’re not interrupted.”

Viktor and Zara followed Five to the terminal, while Luther, Allison, Diego, and Klaus fanned out around the room, keeping an eye on the entrances.

Five typed furiously on the terminal’s keyboard, accessing the most restricted files in the Commission’s database. “If there’s a timeline where Zara’s powers are a catalyst for an apocalyptic event, it’ll be recorded here.”
