Love.
Love.
Two hearts
Beating in the dark,
Skin on skin
On skin on skin.
Two souls
Who hunger for each other above all else. This is what we're told we should want.
Our whole lives we're pushed
To find someone,
The one,
Who's right for us.
The one who'll in an instant steal our heart
And take our breath away. But I don't want to be left like that,
Heartless and gasping for air.
I don't want to live that way,
I don't want to love that way.
And you believe this means
That I cannot love at all.You think those like me are heartless,
Frigid,
Cold.
But we are people just like you.
I treasure my friends above all else,
And I will always love my family. But because I don't want someone carnally,
Because I never want to kiss and say I do,
You ignore that all,
Say that I am not capable of love.
I am not heartless.
