In the past 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, younger people and younger men like Elvis Presley were completely afraid to say "no," and they were always told to shut up and be quiet and were completely silenced from saying no. Elvis was a victim of mistreatments, manipulations, and abuse by his own manager; he was deprived of his artistic freedom. The colonel had lied to Elvis Presley about where he came from. He lied to Elvis Presley that he is from west Virginia and that he lied to him that he was a colonel and that his name was Colonel Tom Parker. Elvis Presley was completely silenced from speaking against mistreatment and exploitation. The question is, how can someone who is so iconic like Elvis Presley trust someone like Colonel Tom Parker? The colonel once stopped Elvis from touring overseas; he told him that if he dared to tour overseas, he would go after him, fearing that if Elvis Presley had toured overseas, the colonel Tom Parker would be departing back to the Netherlands due to having no passport, and this behavior shows completely a sign that the colonel might have been playing the innocent and was trying to evade the consequences of his own actions; he did not care about Elvis and his own wellbeing, and he only cared about money and himself. The colonel did not want Elvis Presley to know that he is an illegal alien. The Colonel Parker passed away in 1997 while getting away with exploiting, abusing, and manipulating Elvis and restricting him from his artistic freedom. Elvis was a puppy to Elvis. He was silenced. Speaking out from the mistreatments and abuse he endured, he never got the help he needed and deserved. After what he had going through, Elvis Presley's voice Deserve to be heard and seen.
