I stirred awake, the remnants of sleep still clinging to me like a soft blanket, momentarily confused about my surroundings. My eyes fluttered open, and as they adjusted to the morning light filtering through the curtains, I caught sight of the familiar shirt and boxers I had worn to bed. The fabric felt soft against my skin, a comforting reminder of the cozy night we had shared. Just then, a large figure beside me shifted, wrapping me in a warm embrace that felt like being enveloped in a gentle cocoon. He let out a playful growl, a sound that rumbled deep in his chest and made me chuckle softly. It was a sound that always brought a smile to my face, a reminder of his playful spirit. Yet, despite the cozy comfort of his arms, I felt the undeniable urge of having to pee. I gently tapped his arm, hoping to rouse him from his slumber. He mumbled and grumbled, his voice thick with sleep, "No, honey, I'm too comfy here against my shoulder." I couldn't help but smile at his reluctance, but the pressure in my bladder was becoming more insistent. I leaned closer, whispering, "Brantley, I really need to pee." He let out a reluctant sigh, the kind that sounded like a child who had just lost a debate, and replied, "Fine." After taking care of business, I returned to the warmth of our bed, leaning in to remind him of the day ahead. "We need to get up anyway. You promised we'd go car shopping today, and you have to get the littles ready." I could hear him grunt in response, a sound that was half-hearted and playful. "Maybe I want to stay in bed a little longer. I'm comfortable, darlin'." His words were laced with a teasing tone, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes, knowing that our plans awaited us.
I turned in his strong, warm embrace and pressed my lips against his, hoping to spark the motivation he needed to get moving. Instead, it completely backfired; the irresistible man simply pulled me on top of him and deepened the kiss. The world around us faded away, and all I could focus on was the intoxicating sensation of his lips against mine, the way his hands glided up and down my back, igniting a fire within me that I hadn't anticipated. I could feel the warmth radiating from his body, enveloping me in a cocoon of comfort and desire as I straddled him, lost in the moment.
Just as we were breathless and tangled in each other, the soft knock on the door shattered our bubble of intimacy. My heart raced as I quickly hopped off Brantley, scrambling to return to my side of the bed, my cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and lingering excitement. He looked at me with a playful grin, his eyes sparkling with mischief, and called out, "What's up, buddy?"
In an instant, several little feet rushed into the room, their energy palpable as they jumped onto his side of the bed, their voices a chorus of excitement. "We're hungry!" they exclaimed in unison, their innocent enthusiasm a stark contrast to the heated moment we had just shared. Brantley chuckled to himself, the sound warm and inviting, as he replied, "Okay, guys, we'll be down in a minute. We'll meet you there."
I couldn't help but smile at the sight of him, the way he effortlessly shifted from the passionate man I had just been kissing to the loving father they adored. The kids bounced around, their laughter filling the room, and I felt a pang of affection for this little family that had so quickly become a part of my life. As they clamored for his attention, I took a moment to gather myself, smoothing my hair and adjusting my clothes, trying to shake off the remnants of our interrupted moment.
Brantley turned to me, his expression softening as he caught my eye. "Sorry about that," he said, a hint of apology in his voice, though his smile suggested he wasn't too upset about the interruption. I shrugged, unable to hide my grin. "No worries. They come first," I replied, my heart swelling with warmth at the thought of the life we were building together.
As the kids continued to chatter excitedly about breakfast, I felt a sense of relief as to could see Brantley adjusting his boxers as he got up to grab the sweat pants off the floor he discarded during the night cause he got hot
