Fates Surprise

Chapter One- Done !!! .

There are just some days when you wish you stayed warm and safe tucked up in bed especially due to the way the day was shaping up to be one of those that just plain old sucked. It was like you could feel it in the air, like that heavy restless feeling you feel around you when a thunderstorm is about to explode into an epic show of lightning and rolling thunder accompanied by violent winds that do a ton of damage.

That's how it felt in my chest it had been there for the last few days it had been keeping her up at night making her too anxious to sleep. The late restless nights and her stepfather righting her car in a drunk driving accident, she was now having to take public transport which she was not used to and she had been arriving at work late the last 4 days only 2/3 mins late which really wasn't as bad as it seemed.

However, the supervisor of her team was a lecherous dick that used an excuse to exert his position and dominance to discipline or touch the females on the floor in a suggestive manner leading to him taping a few incidents with formers staff members who he sexually harassed and she only knew about it because one of the girls that resigned that it had happened to was a friend or used to be and had warned to be very careful around him and she had been.

She had always been careful with him and much to his chagrin had never succeded in enticing her or trapping her she had however got a write-up or pay to dock and if she had to be in his office or anywhere with him alone for a length of time she would always bring another staff member with her usually male or an older female to sit with her which was permitted by the company and he could not decline.

Today the jackass was waiting for as I came in and went to my desk I was both anxious, annoyed and exhausted due to the lack of sleep the past few days it was the only excuse I had for what would soon transpire. As I was the last person to poke the bear or cause waves making trouble for myself causing a scene the way I did would normally make me cringe in the corner with disgust and fear.

" Lilliana come to my office please " was all he said before pulling his head back around the door and into his office.

I have to admit I found the man smarmy and he made my skin crawl he wasn't ugly or anything it was just the way he acted and treated the female staff especially her it felt like anytime she was in his presence she needed a shower to wash him off.

Quickly putting down her coat and bag she grabbed her mobile and opened the voice recorder a thing she had taken to doing after her friend left in case things ever got out of hand she wanted proof slipping it into her pocket she made her way to his office a few female members of staff giving a look of sympathy knowing what was coming as much as she did.

I entered the office my mantra repeating on a loop in my mind be calm - be sweet - and smile I took a seat in front of his desk calmly resting my hands in my lap trying to make myself look small.

" Now Miss Beken do you know why you have been called into my office" he watched me almost as if he was anticipating something.

" No Sir did I do something wrong"

Gods, I want this over with already I mantra repeatedly as I tried to keep my emotions off my face i didn't want him to know my feelings or how he disgusted me. I just had to wait a little longer and if all went well I would get the transfer to the 8th floor that dealt with it and buying and selling she however was going to be a glorified secretary she had applied for the personal assistant to the section supervisor.

Something of what I was thinking must have slipped into my eyes or onto my face because he suddenly changed his stance and demeanour.

Shit !!!

I mentally slammed the walls back up and lowered my gaze to his chest so he couldn't see my eyes and I could hide my face a little better

" Well it has come to my attention that you have been coming in late this week and it also happened last week too, Which as you know is unacceptable in the department " he rose trying to use his height to intimidate me ."
