As Kai stood in the hallway, the murmurs around him grew louder and more hostile. Students clustered in groups, their voices dripping with disdain and mockery.

Student 1: "Look at Kai, still hanging around like he's got a place here.

Student 2: "Yeah, like he's not just a ticking time bomb. You think he's not involved in Petra's fall? He's definitely hiding something."

Student 3: "Why do we even let people like him into this school? It's bad enough he's here

Student 4: "Seriously, does he think he's going to fit in here? Everyone knows he's a loser. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the reason for all the trouble."

As the insults continued, a group of bullies passed by Kai, deliberately bumping into him and snickering.

Bully 1: "Hey, watch where you're going, criminal."

Bully 2: "Oops, did we accidentally knock you over? My bad."

Bully 3: "Guess you're used to being knocked around, huh? Doesn't change the fact you're a nobody here."

The bullies laughed as they walked away, leaving Kai with a deepened frown and a tense demeanor. The whispers and snickers followed him, further isolating him in the crowded hallway.

Luna stood at a distance, her eyes following the commotion in the hallway. She watched with a smirk as the bullies taunted Kai, their voices dripping with scorn. Her expression was a mix of satisfaction and malice, enjoying the discomfort being directed at Kai.

Luna (smirking): "Serves him right."

Cleo, noticing the growing tension and the way Kai was being treated, approached him with concern and determination.

However, as Cleo approached Kai with a concerned look, Luna's smirk faltered. Her eyes narrowed into an angry frown as she observed Cleo's supportive demeanor. Her plans for Kai to be further isolated seemed to be falling apart.

Luna (muttering angrily): "Of course she has to interfere. Can't let him suffer in peace."

Quickly, Luna turned on her heel and walked away, her face etched with frustration and disappointment as she disappeared down the hallway

"Kai," Cleo said softly, her voice cutting through the cacophony of voices. She reached him, her expression a mix of sympathy and resolve. "Can we talk for a minute?"

Kai's gaze met hers, a flicker of surprise and relief crossing his face. "Cleo," he replied, his voice strained. "Sure."

They walked a few steps away from the crowd, finding a quieter corner of the hallway. Kai leaned against the wall, his shoulders slumped as he took a deep breath.

"I know things are tough right now," Cleo began, her voice gentle but firm. "Everyone's talking, and it feels like you're being pushed into a corner. But I want you to know that I'm here for you."

Kai looked at her, his eyes filled with a mix of gratitude and weariness. "Thanks, Cleo. I just... I can't believe how quickly things spiraled out of control."

Cleo nodded, her gaze unwavering. "It's not fair. They don't know you, and they're judging you based on rumors. That's not right. But you're stronger than you think, and I believe in you."

Kai's expression softened. "It means a lot to hear that from you. I've been trying to stay strong, but it's been hard. Especially with all this... noise."

Cleo took a step closer, her voice lowering to a conspiratorial whisper. "I have an idea. Something to shift the focus and maybe even help clear the air. It won't be easy, but it's worth a shot."

Kai's eyes brightened with a mix of curiosity and cautious hope. "What do you have in mind?"

Cleo hesitated for a moment, then leaned in slightly. "Let's meet after school. I'll explain everything then. For now, just hang in there. We'll get through this together."

Kai nodded, a faint smile appearing on his lips. "Alright. I'll see you after school."

As Cleo turned to leave, she could feel the eyes of her classmates boring into her back. She held her head high, determined to stand by Kai despite the whispers and judgments and smirked as she thought of her plan.
