The sorrow resounding in the night
Waves of love that once were bright
The swaying of trees in the breeze
Singing songs of what could be
Thoughts of a love that wasn't meant to be
Praying death to claim my soul free
Dreaming of its dark embrace caressing my fragile body
Taking me down a path to hell with no promise of a ride back
Yet a sweet symphony of pain and pleasure enticing my senses
The smell of red roses intoxicating my mind
Playing a mesmerizing yet ominous tune on my skin
Lost in the entrancing sight dripping from my wrists
Rivers of red cascading in opposite paths
Reminding me of times since past
The love no longer contained in me
Yearning for the touch that could soothe me
The fire and passion silent in your eyes
But alas dead and gone it flies
The emptiness suffocating my very existence
Driven from my thoughts I glance at the masterpiece on my wrist
I smile my last loving smile as I feel death' embrace at last
Lie against the tree, descend in the inviting welcome of surrender
Swaying with the trees in the breeze
The melody of love that I now find peace
