Death, a feared and final fate
A step beyond life's open gate
A journey we all must embark
Leaving behind our earthly mark
In its embrace, we find release
From pain, from sorrow, from disease
A peaceful end to life's great quest
A chance to finally lay to rest
Though it may seem a bitter pill
Death offers peace, and time to still
For in the end, we all must go
And leave behind life's ebb and flow
So let us cherish each new day
And live our lives in our own way
For when our time on earth is done
We'll leave behind a legacy begun
