"I'm not wearing that." I shook my head in disgust as Gabby held up what looked like a bikini.
"Come on Lil! It's Halloween!" She expressed. "This isn't even that bad compared to what other girls are wearing!"
"Yeah, I'd rather not have my whole body on display." I responded, jumping on my bed. "Why can't you guys just go without me? I don't have a costume and the party's tomorrow night. It's too late for me to find anything I'll like."
"Because sometimes we just want to be able to have our girl come out with us." Emma answered as she walked past my bedroom, drying her hair. "You know it's more fun when you're there too."
"Is Lilah saying she's not coming out tomorrow?" Liv asked as she entered my room. "Why not?"
"No costume." I shrugged.
"I have a billion you could try on." She responded just as fast.
"Will I be comfortable in them though? My standard of comfort." There was a slight pause as she looked at me blankly.
"House trip to the mall!" Liv announced loudly despite three of us being in the same room and Emma being in the bathroom next to us. "We're finding Lilah a costume she'll like enough to come out with us tomorrow night!"
Gabby and Emma cheered as I groaned, sitting up to shove my shoes on.
"Don't get too excited." I grumbled, throwing on a hoodie. The fall weather made for some of the best naps and I was just about to have one if Gabby didn't barge in my room.
"Yeah yeah, get stepping." Gabby mocked as she pushed me from behind to leave my room. Smart girl. I was going to lock her out if she left before me.

"I look sick!" I exclaimed as I hopped on my bed with my costume on.
"I still can't believe you got that." Liv laughed at my pose as she continued to apply her makeup. She was being Daphne tonight. Of course, that meant Jeremiah would be Fred. Gabby was Lara Croft and Emma was Little Red Riding Hood.
Me? I was Nightwing.
"I'm surprised you're okay with that. I thought you'd think it was too tight." Emma spoke as she stood still. Gabby was behind her, tightening her deep red corset.
"Yeah but look." I responded, pulling out my batons from my back. "These are sick."
Was it an extra fifteen dollars for the weapons? Yeah. But it was what sold me on the costume. I mean, it was so cool.
"Lil!" Gabby exclaimed as she dodged the swinging baton. "You're gonna mess up my makeup!"
"Sorry!" I winced, putting my arms down.
I left my hair in a low braid so that the mask could fit over my head properly without my hair getting in the way.
"Come on guys! The Uber's almost here!" Liv exclaimed as she received a text from her phone.
The girls and I rushed to get our shoes on and did our final touch ups before leaving my room. Outside, there were a bunch of college kids walking around in their costumes. Some of them were stumbling though. There was a chill in the air as the houses around us were lit up with Halloween decorations on their front yards and I was excited to see everyone's costumes to be honest.
I made sure to put on my mask before exiting the house. I can't have my identity discovered already. The night had only just begun.
