He's one of the original Pledis Boys. He was originally suppose to be a NU'EST member. He was formally a member of 'Tempest' before Seventeen was created.His dream is to become an actor.His favorite Korean Singers are Big Bang's Taeyang & Seol Kyung Goo.He wants to meet Taeyang. As a rapper, he wants to have his own cool name.The meaning behind his real name is that Seung means clearly winning/winning and the Cheol means fair. It means to win fairly.He says he hates to show his weaknesses but he's actually very fragile inside. Unlike his appearance, he's very affectionate, mischievous and passionate.He says he's most confident when it comes to power. He's stronger than all his friends and hyungs, so he calls himself the Beagle King (being crazy).His role models are Uknow Yunho, G-Dragon and Zico.

Every morning SEVENTEEN has a hard time getting up but surprisingly, as soon as Seung Cheol says 'wake up guys!', everyone gets up in a second. Seung Cheol is known as the strictest guy, but deep inside, he is a very sensitive and detailed guy. After scolding Soon Young for not concentrating on the dance lesson, he gets Doyoon to soothe Soon young. He even remained in the empty practice room in deep thought on the day all SEVENTEEN members received a group punishment. He tells himself that he is the trainees' role model therefore he tries to look strong and train harder. He became a trainee as a vocal member (although he says he's the visual member) but he got interested in rapping, in love with rap and hiphop for about 2 years now. He's got the voice and a warm heart, ready to shine on the stage. He lets his noona fans call him Oppa. During their first radio broadcasting with VIXX's N he was stuttering (kyeopta). During his Idol 24 hours selca, he mentioned how he loves the rooftop (in their company building) because every time he's in their his heart is at ease. As a leader he always make sure to have present a perfect stage for the fans and their audience. he pushes everyone forward.
