I am squished guys.
Like totally, literally, physically under Hannah's bear hug.
And it's like two in the afternoon. I was friggin sleeping.
It has only been an hour since Mr Fierro dropped me home and I had just changed and lied down and I almost, almost fell into the dead stage of sleeping when she banged my apartment walls down.
She keeps apologising for being a bad friend and I honestly don't know why. I mean I get it that she felt guilty but I am not mad at her nor do I hold her accountable for anything.
But my consoling is falling on deaf ears.
"If you don't listen to me then I'mma break your teeth and you're gonna look ugly as hell." I threatened for the last time and she pulled back.
"Babe, you have nothing to feel guilty about. Even I didn't know it would happen, how the fats would you have known?" I turned around and guided her to the living room.
Oh I forgot to mention that scene was happening at my doorstep and two of my neighbors were a part of the audience.
"Sit yo butt down." I brought her a glass of water and handed it to her before taking a seat on the couch as well.
"I should've checked. I really wanted to. But it was getting late so Mr Blake ushered us inside and said he'll check up on you instead." She ran her finger on the rim of the glass while I scrunched my nose.
"It's alright, bebe. He must've forgotten. What matters is that I'm back all smart and amazing." I blew her a kiss and flipped the strands of my hair.
She smiled and nodded.
"So......you kinda brutally murdered my sleep." I said to lighten her mood.
"That's good, because I didn't sleep well myself." She yawned and stretched her body like a cat.
She did look worn out. Sleep is necessary after that many hours of travel after all.
Good thing I slept like a baby. Bless Mr Fierro for that.
But I still wanna sleep. How many hours have I slept in these two days? Probably seventy nine.
That's girl math.
"I hate when you suddenly log out from the world." She slapped me hard on the back and I fell on the floor.
I'm not dramatic, that just caught me off guard.
I am still in the underweight phase ya know?
"I said, I am taking the rest of the day off so let's sleep now." She stood up, threw her purse and mine in my lap and left for my room, most probably for a change of clothes.
