"Seedworld" is my concept for a spiritual successor to the 2008 cult classic game Spore, my ideal evolution/creativity simulation game that takes the concept of Spore and takes it even further than that game ever did, pushing the possibilities for creativity to their absolute limits (which we will explain in more detail once we cover each individual stage) rather than Spore's more cartoony art style Seedworld aims for a more semi-realistic aesthetic (while still allowing for the player to build fun and vibrant creations) also unlike Spore which only had 5 stages, Seedworld has a whopping 8 different stages for the player to progress through:

Now, onto the backstory of the game (yes, there is a backstory and lore to this. not very much mind you, but just enough to explain the title which is tied to a big revelation at the end of the space stage):

The title "Seedworld" is a bit of a double-entendre, not only is it in reference to you, the player, creating your own planet and seeding it with life of your own creation (both flora and fauna), but it also ties to a cutscene that plays every tim...

The title "Seedworld" is a bit of a double-entendre, not only is it in reference to you, the player, creating your own planet and seeding it with life of your own creation (both flora and fauna), but it also ties to a cutscene that plays every time you boot up a new campaign: we see a metal pod of alien origin travel through space, only for it to crash into a barren, lifeless planet creating a massive wave of glowing blue energy that envelops the planet's surface terraforming it into a habitable world.

This is where we transition into the planet creator, where you the player must create your own planet and customize it to your liking including atmosphere, oceans, and continents as well as biomes and climates (EG you can create things like a dese...

This is where we transition into the planet creator, where you the player must create your own planet and customize it to your liking including atmosphere, oceans, and continents as well as biomes and climates (EG you can create things like a desert planet, ice planet, or even a forest planet just to name a few) planets you create can also be populated with the created flora and fauna of your choice.

Another cool new creator, the Flora creator allows you to create custom foliage to populate your planets with. there are three different types of flora in the game you can build: plants (small), shrubs (medium), and trees (large). they serve as more than just decoration, as herbivorous creatures can also eat them, and in the case of shrubs and trees they will lose leaves once a creature is done eating from them. you can also toggle the ability to bear fruit on trees you create (and the appearance of the fruit can be customized just like the tree itself) which herbivores can also eat from.

Planets aren't the only part of the galaxy you can customize, you can create your own custom star systems for your created planets to orbit around as well! you can choose the color of the star (red, blue, or yellow), the size of the star, the number of planets in your given star system, the orbital cycle of the planets around the star, and even be able to create binary or even trinary star systems! which leads into the final creator...

You can also customize the very galaxy you call home as well! fill it with as many stars, star systems, planets, black holes, quasars, and nebulas to your liking! and once you finish the space stage and enter the galactic stage, you can leave your own galaxy and explore galaxies that were made by other players as well! (yes, there IS multiplayer co-op in this game concept, more on that later)
