Once you complete the Medieval stage after successfully expanding your kingdom, your species enters a new age as it experiences a sudden technological boom thus beginning an industrial revolution creating a new, more advanced society. but your city isn't the only technologically-advanced society on the planet, thus your goal in this stage is to unite all the cities on your planet under one nation by either military, cultural, or economic means, using the new technology at your disposal. the look of your city will depend on your creature's lifestyle, besides the regular old cities of your basic terrestrial creatures, you got Atlantis-like underwater cities built for aquatics, elevated sky cities built into cliffsides high above the clouds for flying creatures, cities built into trees that turn branches into highways for arboreals, and vast underground metropolises for fossorials. seasonal changes are still present but no longer a hazard, however weather can still be a hazard especially if a thunderstorm causes a power outage to your city!
When you begin the civilization stage, you enter the modern building creator to build a city hall to govern your newly-founded city. other modern building types you can create include Houses for your citizens to live in (can house multiple residents depending on the size), an entertainment center to entertain the citizens of your city, a factory to manufacture modern tools, weapons, vehicles, and other advanced pieces of technology to help benefit your society, and a fourth type of building that's exclusive to one of the three types of chosen specialties for your city: Barracks for military cities (houses troops and weaponry such as guns and explosives), Banks for economic cities (yay capitalism!), and Temples for cultural cities (where enlightened citizens go to worship the maker), your species industrial revolution has unlocked the ability to create vehicles allowing for your species a greater traversal of the world. players can build three different types of vehicles: land vehicles, sea vehicles (both above and under water), and air vehicles (which are unlocked halfway through the stage after uniting the first 10 neighboring cities) all of which can be built in a myriad of different ways for different functions be it for military, labor, or civilian use. some vehicle types aren't available to species with a specialized lifestyle, for example underwater civilizations can't use land vehicles (for obvious reasons) and flying creatures have no use for aerial vehicles because they can already fly.
