Edmund and Maeve rush into the dark tunnel alongside Trumpkin and Peter. None of them have any idea what exactly walking into but the distance travelled is done so in complete silence. It's not long until the four finally make it to the end where they're met with a sight that is simply unimaginable.

Prince Caspian stands facing an ice wall with none other than the Snow Queens spirit inside. Surrounding him are two unknown creatures that are more than terrifying to look at, and Nikabrik. A werewolf looking creature wraps his arms around Caspains arms, urging him to reach towards the Snow Queen.

"Stop it!" Maeve yells out. She rushes in with the other 3 though she knows her fighting won't be as strong with her recent injury. She watches in horror as everything unravels directly in front of her eyes. For someone that hates conflict more than anything, being an outsider looking in is no easy fret.

Edmund initiates a fight with the growling werewolf that jumps out in front of him. Its teeth are sharp and its claws practically dig into the stone floor. The werewolf flips Edmund upside down, but as he hits the floor he's able to slice the creatures leg causing a loud cry to be heard in the midst of chaos.

To Maeve's left, Nikabrik and Trumpkin are fighting aggressively, their swords clashing against one another's in a rhythm. She had never known Nikabrik to be a traitor. In the time she had spent with him he was always caring of her, but here he is, fighting off Narnians as if he isn't one of them himself. Nikabrik knocks Trumpkin down to the floor, lifting his sharp sword with plans of finishing the small helpless man. Luckily, Lucy steps in out of nowhere, preventing yet another death.

To her right she can see Peter standing over the dead hag he had just defeated in a fight. Maeve feels for the boy. She's had conversations before about what he wishes he could be doing outside of Narnia. Of course, he loves it here, but the amount of death surrounding him has taken a toll on his previously chipper personality. Now he's more aggressive, angry.

She turns her head back ahead of herself, her eyes meeting a familiar set. It's as if she's looking into a mirror that reflects her biggest insecurities. Her mother can be seen in the large ice wall, smirking smugly at the sight of her terrified daughter. It's as if Maeve's no longer in control of her own body, her legs moving towards the cold before her head can even decipher what's going on.

Maeve can see Caspian reaching towards the Snow Queen, but it doesn't last long before Peter tackles him to the ground quickly. Both men lay on the stone floor for a moment, completely out of breath and genuinely confused. Maeves legs quicken at the sight of her mother, and her hand raises slightly to meet hers.

"Come on Maeve, I knew you'd always be there to help me. Just a small amount of Adam's blood sweetheart. Everything will go back to normal soon." The Snow Queen speaks enticingly. The proud look on her face fills the room.

If Maeve were in her right mind she'd yell at her mom. She'd blame her for everything bad she's ever done and she'd laugh at the thought of ever joining her again. But Maeve isn't in her right mind, and her hand continues to get closer to her mother's.

"Don't be shy my girl, I know you've been thinking about me. Come. Just one drop. You know you need me." The snow queen says softly. Her ability to manipulate is like no other, and the effect it's having on her daughter is dangerous.

Right as Maeve's finger tip grazes the snow queens hand, the ice wall begins to crack. She steps back slightly, watching as her mother slowly fades away into thin air. Before she can even process anything, the ice shatters completely in front of her. The Snow Queen is dead. Her mother is dead.

She's been dead for years, Maeve had come to terms with that. But seeing it all again? Losing her mother for a second time despite how much anger she had for her? She wouldn't wish that upon her worst enemy.
