Soaring through the sky, the Avengers and their new allies made their way back to their base. Given the scarcity of flyers at their disposal, they had to rely on the assistance of the friends they had recently made. Fortunately, with Wanda's help in facilitating communication, they were able to convey their need for help. This was especially crucial as they found themselves in the vicinity of a Dragon Hunter stronghold.
Stark managed to fly despite the damage his suit had taken, though it was a bit of a shaky journey. Wanda, with her Chaos Magic, could soar effortlessly, requiring very little focus. The others weren't so fortunate since they weren't gifted with flight capabilities; they had to pair up with those who could carry them.
Hiccup took the lead, riding on Toothless with Captain America behind him. Snotlout found himself paired with Clint, who seemed less than thrilled at the matchup, sensing that the group had purposely paired him with the most challenging member. It was immediately apparent to anyone who encountered Snotlout what kind of person he was.
Natasha partnered with Astrid, intentionally steering clear of the twins out of fear that she might end up having to throw one of them from their dragon. At first glance, she couldn't tell the boy twin from the girl twin apart, not that it mattered to her—she was equally prepared to shove the nearest one off the dragon without a second thought.
This meant Peter ended up riding with Heather on Windshear, a dragon he thought would be uncomfortable due to its metal scales. He even wondered how such a creature could fly. Fortunately, there was ample space for him as a second rider. Gripping the saddle's back tightly, they soared over the ocean, heading toward their base. With no need for secrecy at the moment, those who wore masks removed them, keeping them ready for the day they would return home.
Heather looked back and recognized Peter was worried. "You good back there?"
"Well..." Peter looked down in concern. "Let's just say that I'm afraid of heights. At least ocean heights. Back home, it wasn't much of an issue since I could catch myself on buildings. But...the ocean, there is nothing."
"Don't worry, I haven't lost a rider yet." Heather comforted him as best she could. Then she came into a bit of an awkward silence between the two of them as they flew off. "So...you're from the future?"
"Yeah, traveled to the past," Peter said with a sigh. "Wouldn't be the first time."
"You've done this before?" Heather asks.
"Never on purpose," Peter explained. "I tend to try and stay within my own timeline."
Heather chuckled at his attempt at a joke. "Ah, look. There it is."
Peter looked up ahead as the Dragon Riders introduced the Avengers to their home: Dragon's Edge
To the northeast of Berk lies Dragon's Edge, a place revered as the current home of the Dragon Riders, as described by Hiccup. This island features lush, verdant forests, and towering cliffs, and is surrounded by shallow lagoons. At its center stands a majestic mountain peak, enveloped in a glistening coat of ice and snow, yet harboring the secret of being a dormant volcano.
"This is your home?" Steve asks.
"Yep," Hiccup said as he and Toothless landed on the ground outside the base. They took in the sight. "This is Dragon's Edge. Our home away from home since we've begun chasing after these Dragon Hunters."
Tony flew overhead, his thrusters beginning to finally give out. He began to panic slightly as he began to lose control of his suit. "Whoa... Whoa!" He then cut power off as he then fell and slammed into the ground, making a superhero pose in the process. He then steadies himself as his suit was still sparking. "Okay, I'm good!" He then ripped off a fragment of his armor over his arm. "I'm okay!" He then ripped off his mask with a sigh of relief. "We're good."
