### Diary Entry — November 24, 2010

Dear Diary,

Today was a day I'll never forget. I can hardly wrap my head around everything that happened. Roberto proposed to me! It feels surreal, and I'm still trying to process it all.

We were at our favorite spot in the park, the one where we first talked about our dreams for the future. The leaves were turning golden, and everything felt so picturesque. Just as the sun began to set, Roberto turned to me with that serious look on his face. My heart started racing; I could tell something big was about to happen.

"Isabella," he said, his voice steady but filled with emotion. "I can't imagine my life without you. You're my everything, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

Before I could fully grasp what he was saying, he got down on one knee and pulled out a beautiful ring. "Will you marry me?"

I was completely taken aback. My heart was pounding, and my mind was racing. "Roberto, this is so sudden! I'm only 20, and we're still in school!" I managed to say, my thoughts a whirlwind.

He looked up at me, a mix of hope and concern in his eyes. "I know it feels fast, but I love you. I want us to build a life together."

I felt overwhelmed. "I...I need time to think about it," I finally said, my voice shaky. I could see the disappointment flicker across his face, but I needed to be sure about such a huge step.

Later that evening, I called my parents to talk about it. I was nervous but knew I needed their guidance. When I told them what happened, they were quiet for a moment before my mom spoke up. "Isabella, you're still so young. You have so much ahead of you. You should wait until you graduate."

My dad chimed in, "We love Roberto, but this is a big commitment. You need to focus on your studies and your future first."

Their words weighed heavily on me. I didn't want to disappoint Roberto, but I also wanted to make sure I was making the right choice for my life. I felt torn between my love for him and the reality of our lives ahead.

When I finally got off the phone, I sat on my bed, the ring still fresh in my mind. I care so deeply for Roberto, but was I really ready for marriage? I knew I had to talk to him about my feelings and share what my parents said.

I hope he understands that I need time. I love him, but I want to make sure we're both ready for this next step.

Goodnight, Diary!
