Earlier that morning from Mr. Graves' POV:
I woke up to my alarm blaring and had a pounding headache that's plagued me since last night. I guess I deserve that though since I haven't slept in days. I've been too busy gathering information and watching a target that we have along with school. Me and Xander both run a gang of sorts along with having several other businesses like a club and a restaurant. We mostly deal in guns and very rarely in drugs and if so we make sure it's not laced. It can all be a lot at times hence why I have this horrible headache.

Getting up I go brush my teeth, grab my laptop, and head out to find Xander. He was sitting at the counter in the kitchen when I found him. After greeting each other with good mornings Xander goes to make us some food and I get my laptop out to look up how the meeting between our target and his rival went last night. First thing I see when I turn on my computer is that there was a deadly crash last night and then once I go deeper I find out it was our target.

"Xander we have a problem. Someone got to our target before us. I'm going deeper and they're thinking it's the rival he met with last night. Someone had to have tampered with his car."

"Shit that's not good."

"I know this seems far fetched but there's something off about that girl in our classes and she just so happened to be at that club last night too."

"If you're suggesting she killed a man just because you saw her fight really well yesterday then you're definitely going on the crazy side."

"Even you looked shocked when she was fighting."

"That's just because she seemed so tame and sweet at the cafe."

"I saw her last night coming back from the parking lot with a little bit of grease on her hands. You can't tell me that doesn't sound suspicious."

"Her and Kai said they both work on their cars themselves, they easily could've been doing that before they went to the club last night. If you're so curious ask her and see if she's lying you're usually good about being able to tell if someone is lying."

"Fine fine I'll stop being paranoid."

I mean it would make sense if the rival did it he was there last night. It makes more sense than Mia doing it. Maybe I am really just being paranoid. Closing up my laptop I get ready for school and head out to get into my car and start the day.

Back to Mia's POV now:
I was walking distractedly, thinking about the two of them, listening to my music loud when I bumped into a random guy. I almost fell but his hands flew out and saved me. I looked up and saw bleached blonde hair, several piercings, and a very handsome distraught face. He asked, "Are you alright? I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention to where I was going."

I just kind of stopped for a moment and couldn't help but to compare them all. He certainly doesn't have the same energy as the other two but then again he isn't the one that's off limits.

Taking one of my earbuds out and looking up at him I say, "Yeah I'm great thanks to you. I wasn't paying attention either, I have my music blaring in my ears right now." I giggle a little at the end and he chuckles too.

"What song are you listening to right now?"

"You probably won't know it but it's called Insects, it's one of my favorites. I actually have tickets to go see his show soon."

"No way that's so cool I listen to him too, his name is Dusty right?"

"Oh my god that's so cool! Me and my best friend love him. You should come to the concert with us and bring any of your friends!"

"Hell yeah I actually already had tickets so this works out great." He says with a perfect smile.

We both check the time out of habit and realize we're going to be late to our classes.

"What class do you have next?"

"Behavioral Science. What about you?"

"That's crazy I have that class too. Let's go together."

We walk together towards Mr. Graves class and go sit together when we get in there. Mr. Graves looked like he was about to shoot someone when he saw us. Which honestly shouldn't be that hot but it is.

"Today we're going to be having a pop quiz. I didn't tell you yesterday because I wanted you to actually be surprised. This way I can get a feel for where everyone is at in their studies."

Realizing I don't even know the guy's name that I'm sitting next to I ask him and he says, "My name is Cain. What's yours?"

"Mine is Mia! Nice to formally meet you sir." I made a great show of shaking his hand and tipping my imaginary top hat to him which he found amusing.

Mr. Graves however didn't find in nearly as amusing and said, "Miss Bishop and Mr. Andrews now is not the time to meet and talk that's for after class."

I just giggle a little bit because I love getting under his skin and I salute him in front of everybody. "You got it sir."

He just shakes his head and starts handing out the pop quizzes. When I get my test and look it over it's basically like the psychology one so I know I have this in the bag. Breezing through it I don't really have any issues and finish first again. I don't want Mr. Graves to think I'm a try hard though so I'm going to wait until someone else turns in theirs. I just act like I'm still doing my test for another five minutes while listening to my music and someone finally came up to his desk to turn in their test.

Getting up right after them I go to turn in my test and he stops me by saying, "Why didn't you turn your test in if you were done first?"

I should've known he would notice that. Analyzing little fucker.

"I just didn't want to seem like a try hard."

He looks at me curiously, probably not expecting that answer.

"If you finish your test first it doesn't mean you're a try hard it just means you're good at the subject or didn't even try at all. But from the looks of it you did try so good job."

Holy shit did he actually just say good job to me?? I didn't even know this man was capable of being a nice person.

"Also I wanted to ask you about the grease on your hands. Mr. Grey said you and your friend work on your cars yourselves."

"Yeah me and her were working on my car the other day before going to the club. That's why I brought my bike today is because my car is still in pieces right now. I couldn't get the rest of the grease off for some reason."

"Dawn is really good for taking grease off your hands and it's best to do it as quickly as possible."

"Well thank you Mr. Graves I'll keep that in mind."

I left to go back up to my seat. By now Cain had finished so I asked him if he wanted to share my earbuds and listen to music with me and he said yes so I gave him one of my earbuds and put on Beltane. During this I watched out of the corner of my eye to find Mr. Graves watching us. Mmm this man has a very unhealthy obsession with me. But then again I'm not much better. I can't wait to just listen to him talk during the lectures. Him and Mr. Grey have such nice voices.
