𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕:

Its been exactly 2 months since I officially moved to LA. I was still trying to figure out everywhere, but there's only one place I nailed down the exact directions for, The Rusty Hook. I sighed as I pulled into the pub, looking for a parking spot. Great. This place was fucking packed, and all I want is a drink and something to eat. I had just gotten fired from my job downtown at a coffee shop. But fuck my boss, well, old boss now. He was a dick and I didn't need that job anyways. And I was honestly getting really annoyed with his heavy British accent. Ill just find a new job eventually. I finally found a parking spot, pulling in and killing the engine as 'I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor' by the Arctic Monkeys faded out of the radio.

I stepped out of my car, realizing I was still in my uniform. My black flared leggings and a white t-shirt and a pair of Adidas Samba sneakers. Whatever, I just needed a drink. I pulled my long blonde hair up into a ponytail and walked into the pub. I was immediately greeted by loud music, and even louder chatting and talking. I clutched my bag close to me, walking through the crowds of people dancing and standing around, heading towards the bar.

As I make my way to the bar, a guy bumps into me, his entire beer spilling onto me, down the front of my white shirt. I quietly gasped and stepped back as I felt the cold liquid hit my clothes. Great, there goes my only white shirt.

"Bloody 'ell, I'm so sorry love" the man says with a British accent, setting his empty glass on the bar counter. What is it with me and my luck with British men?

"Its fine." I said as a bartender who saw the whole thing happen, handed me paper towels. I tried to soak up as much of the beer out of my clothes as I could, even though it was no use.

"I'm really sorry about that, I didn't mean to" he said as I looked up at him.

"Its fine, really. This shirt was old anyways." I said throwing the damp paper towels in a nearby trash can.

"Ill buy you a drink to make up for it." he said taking money out of his wallet.

I didn't say anything, mostly because I just really wanted that drink. I took a moment to take in his appearance, his longish brown curly hair that came to about his chin. He wore a brown button up, and a pair of black dress pants and a pair of black chelsea boots. Interesting.

He turned around with my beer, a small smile on his face. " 'Ere ya go love" he said handing me the glass.

I smiled and took it from him "Thank you, you didn't have to do that."

"Eh, it was the least I could do. Im Nick, by the way."

I smiled again "Arabella."

"Arabella hm? Never heard that one before" he said with a small laugh.

I smiled. I hear that same phrase about 20 times a day. Thanks a lot mom. Before I could respond, two guys who had just walked into the pub made their way over to me and Nick.

"What's going on mate?" a guy with short brown hair, wearing a similar outfit to Nick's said, patting his shoulder.

Nick smiled. "Matt his is Arabella. Arabella, this is Matt and that's Jamie" he said tilting his head to the side towards Jamie. I looked over at Jamie, and he had short brown hair that was slicked back with some gel.

"Nice to meet you Arabella. How'd you guys come across each other?" Matt said leaning his arm on Jamie's shoulder.

"Well, Nick here, bumped into me and spilt his beer all over me. So I held him at gunpoint and forced him to buy me a drink" I smiled before laughing.

"Hey! I apologized!" Nick said laughing.

It was around 2 am by now, and I was sitting in a booth at the back of the bar with my new friends. Over the past few hours I've gotten to know them all really well. I found out that the boys were literally the fucking Arctic Monkeys, to which I replied with a "no fucking way! I was listening to one of your songs on the way here!" as they laughed at my reaction.  They released their most recent album, 'Suck It And See' a few months ago, and they're in the process of making a new one, while currently being on tour. They lived here in LA now, but they visit Sheffield a lot since their parents live there.

Matt is dating a girl named Breana, and he plays the drums for the Monkeys. Jamie is dating a girl named Katie, and plays the guitar with Nick. Nick told me about a girl he was with, but they didn't work out.

"They'll be back together within the next week" Matt said raising his glass a bit.

"Cheers to that mate" Jamie said, clinging his glass with Matt's before they both took a swig.

"Im telling yer guys, she hates me" Nick said with a shrug.

"Yer cheated on her in her dream, Nick. She'll get over it. This is typical Kelly behavior." Matt said rolling his eyes slightly.

Honestly, I really like these guys. These three are my first actual friends I've made since I moved to LA besides my best friend Mackenzie, and we all get along really well.

"Anyone know were Alex is? He hasn't answered his phone in a few hours." Matt said, looking at his phone.

"Haven't heard from him since around midnight." Jamie said taking a long swig of his beer.

I furrowed my brows in confusion. "Who's that?" I asked casually, taking a sip of my beer as well.

"He's the lead singer of the band. Probably the biggest asshole ever. Your not missing out on much, don't worry." Nick said with a small smile.

"Give the guy a break mate, he's going through a lot right now" Matt said turning his phone off and sliding it in his pocket.

"Your such a little lap dog" Jamie said chiming in, clearly taking Nick's side.

"Speak of the devil" Nick murmured looking towards the front of the pub, causing the other three of us to look over in the same direction.
