AIDENS POV:
"I don't-.. I don't know." I mumble through my sobs of pain and despair. Her grip around my tightens as she whispers sweet nothings in my ear. She rubs circles on my back, calming my sobs down.
"Speak to me Aiden, what's causing you to be so.. so upset." She murmurs and pulls away, cupping my face in her palms while wiping my tears away with her thumbs.
"I don't know what to do, I feel like an absolute burden and train wreck. I feel the validation of hurting myself and when I- I saw my roots growing back I felt so.. so desperate for help to escape the old me. I couldn't bother to ask anyone but the blade."

"I'm sorry Aiden." She whispers.
"What..?" I whisper back.
"I'm sorry that you have to go through those struggles alone, but you don't have to. I promise from now until my death I'm always going to be here to help you, I'm so sorry that I wasn't before but I am now. Cross my heart, I love you so much. You mean the absolute world to me and I don't want to lose you." I can see tears build in her eyes,
"Do you want me to help you dye your roots?"

I'm sitting on a stool in the bathroom, a towel hung over my shoulders draping down my back. I see concentration etched onto Ashlyn's face as she finished up putting the bleach into my hair.
"Aaaaand.. all done! I don't think I missed any spots" she says with a grin on her face of approval from her work.
"Hah, yeah thanks. I always manage to miss something" I stand off the stool and kiss her softly.
"Thanks Ash."
"Anytime Aiden."

AN: I'm SOO sorry this took a while to come out, I've been so busy lately 😣🙏🏼
