Physical Appearance(Reality): Daniel's skin tone is of a sickly fair color as his irises are blue and he bears a vertical scar on his left eye while his hair is a dark brown color of shoulder length but is rather messy and dirty given how he suffered from poverty after the deaths of his parents. He is a fairly tall young man and has a well toned build for his age that is on the lean side.
Physical Appearance(Dreamland): Upon entering Dreamland, his appearance is much more healthier in contrast to that of his appearance in reality. His hair is clean and placed in a half ponytail and his build along with his Iris color remains the same.
Personality: While normally a kind and caring individual, Daniel has gone through times where he can suddenly become morose and brooding as a result of finding the bodies of his deceased parents and older brother which in turn causes him to fall into dark moods which could only be broken by Alice herself, whom Daniel had feelings for ever since the two of them were children.

Powers and Abilities:
-Berserker Daniel: A temporary form of destruction and pure rage, Daniel can only enter this form when sustaining heavy damage in a fight. Upon entering this form, his irises change to a glowing yellow and he appears in all crimson red(aside from his hair) with small spikes emerging from his arms and back. This form increases the power of his attacks and quickens his reaction time.
-Shadow Dodge: Allows Daniel to evade incoming attacks by turning into a shadowy mist.
-Shadow Wings: Allows Daniel to glide across an area to reach the next for a duration of time.
Dislikes: Dr.Bumby(Over time after learning the truth), people calling him crazy, the memories of seeing his family dead, remembering his time at the asylum, seeing Alice upset or sad

Backstory: Born in England circa 1856, Daniel lived a good and comfortable life with his father Phillip Hegan, a respected Biologist at Oxford University, his mother Sophie and his older brother Ben who possibly the best big brother that Daniel could have asked for. His father was a longtime friend of Alice's father, Arthur Liddell, and when his family was invited to the Liddell household for tea, that was when he first met Alice. Upon their first interaction, Daniel was rather shy around Alice given how the boy wasn't exactly a social child at that but he would slowly open up to her by telling her of the things he liked to do as well as his imaginary world called Dreamland. This resulted in Alice opening up to him about all of the things she loved to do while also telling him of her imaginary world called Wonderland. And from that point on, the two children quickly developed a friendship and often played together whenever Daniel's family came to visit for tea. This included playing hide and seek to tag and even acting as characters from their imaginary worlds while also pranking their older siblings whenever they were together.
But one night, Daniel's life would soon take a turn for the worse and spiral into complete melancholy and depression. When the boy was asleep in his room, an unknown intruder entered the home of the Hegan's and killed his parents first in their sleep before killing his older brother next in his room. His older brother Ben managed to put up a good fight against the killer before his death and even wounded the attacker in the process. Daniel heard the struggle from within his room and closed his eyes in fear that he would be next to meet his end at the hands of the unknown killer. But when the killer spotted him, he believed that Daniel wouldn't cause him any problems due to being just a child before leaving him and exiting the family home before setting it ablaze.
Daniel managed to escape the burning home but would be forever haunted by the sight of this. Upon turning eight years old was transferred to Rutledge Asylum to be placed under the care of Dr.Heironymus Q. Wilson. And it was in this very asylum that he reunited with Alice, albeit under such unfortunate circumstances when he learned that her family died two days before his own family. Years later, the two were released from Rutledge Asylum and found jobs at the Houndsditch Home for Wayward Youth but Daniel still suffered from the memories of his family's death and his personality on the subject has darkened ever since.
Extra Facts:
-His world known as Dreamland is vastly different from Alice's Wonderland but shares a few similarities.
-Due to having a similar traumatic experience as Alice, their Otherworlds have merged with one another's.
-He spent ten years in Rutledge Asylum and often had to go through intense therapy just to regain his sanity.
-His older brother Ben and Alice's older sister Elizabeth shared feelings for one another.
-He has a pet dog named Russel.
-Dr.Bumby serves as his mentor and uses Daniel to complete his own needs. Like a servant to their master.
-Has a ragged stuffed toy monkey.
-Like Alice's sister Elizabeth, Daniel's older brother Ben was the only deceased member of his family to not be found burned by the fire.
