The sun shone brightly over the academy grounds, casting a warm glow on the courtyard where students, dressed in ceremonial robes, gathered for their graduation. The day had finally arrived — the culmination of years of rigorous training, hardships, and battles. Esony stood among the graduates, a sense of pride swelling in his chest. This was the moment he had been waiting for.
Beside him, his friends stood tall. Ansei, with his ever-confident smile, nudged Esony. "We did it, brother. All those sleepless nights, all that training… it’s finally paid off."
Shirohana, standing gracefully next to them, gave a soft smile. “It’s hard to believe we’re here now. The journey ahead seems even more uncertain, but we’ve come this far.”
In front of the gathered students stood the academy’s elders and masters, including Tobashi, who had been instrumental in shaping their paths. He looked proudly at the young warriors who would soon set out on their own.
Master Daisho, the academy head, stepped forward. His booming voice echoed through the courtyard. "Today marks a milestone for all of you. You are no longer students, but warriors—warriors who will defend the town of Mizuno and uphold the values we have instilled in you."
The crowd erupted into applause, and as Daisho continued his speech, Esony’s mind wandered briefly. He thought of his father, Arashi, and all the sacrifices that had been made. The path ahead was still unknown, but he knew he had to carry on his father’s legacy.
As the ceremony came to an end, each student was called up to receive their final approval. When Esony’s name was called, he walked up with determination. Tobashi handed him the academy’s crest and nodded in respect. "You’ve come a long way, Esony. Your flame burns brighter with each passing day. Don’t let it falter."
Esony nodded, taking the crest with a deep sense of responsibility. He then rejoined his friends as they celebrated their achievement.
In the crowd, Aiko, Esony’s mother, watched with pride, her eyes gleaming with tears of joy. She knew that this was the beginning of a new chapter for her son.
But as the celebrations continued, a shadow loomed in the background. Far away, Shiro’s GHO was preparing for their rise. The peace in Mizuno wouldn’t last long, but for now, Esony and his friends could enjoy this brief moment of victory before the storm.
