There's hundreds of people dancing and grinding against each other along with the bass of the loud music thumping throughout the building, which to me looks like an old warehouse of some kind. I don't remember when or how I got here, but my head's spinning and my vision is a little fuzzy. Looking down at the almost empty drink in my hand and I know it's to blame for how I'm feeling. I should probably care about where I am and how I got here, but I don't. I feel the beat of the music vibrating through my body and I let it carry me away into the madness of all the bodies around me. I close my eyes and lean my head back, letting the bass wash over me. A strange tingle runs down my spine and my eyes snap open, he's here. I start to turn around, searching the crowd as I turn until my eyes lock with ones of cold steel. Without a thought I start forcing my way through the mass of people between us. He reaches a hand out towards me and once I'm close enough to reach for it, I do. The moment our fingers touch everything around us changes. The people, music, and warehouse are all gone. We're left alone standing beneath the most magnificent tree I've ever seen, it has so many colors running through its trunk and branches that look like veins. We're standing on a cliff overlooking a crystal clear lake with a large waterfall opposite us. I turn my attention back towards the man in front of me to find him staring at me. He is definitely the most gorgeous thing I've ever laid my eyes on, even more so then the scene behind him. "It's so good to see you again, my Rose." My entire body relaxes at the sound of his voice, it's smooth like silk. "I feel like I've known you my entire life and my body reacts to you in strange ways, so isn't it strange that I can't seem to remember us meeting before?" He raises a hand to caress my cheek and I lean into his touch. "Well, we've met quite a few times in some of your past dreams. I'm still not exactly sure how you've been able to call me to your dreams to start with but, I am sure that I'm drawn to you and that you're the most beautiful being I've ever seen." My cheeks warm at his words and it takes a moment for my brain to process everything he said. Dreams? Of course I'm dreaming, I'm not lucky enough to get someone like him to pay any attention to me in reality. He runs his thumb across my bottom lip and all my thoughts fall away. I get lost in his eyes which from a distance looked like the color of cold steel, but up close I can see the silver swirling within. I've never seen eyes like his, they seem to spark and glow depending on how the light hits them. I shut my eyes, trying to collect my thoughts which I certainly can't do while looking at him. If this is just a dream then he's not even real. That fact makes me feel sick to my stomach, but wait. He said that I call him to my dreams. "What exactly do you mean that I call you to my dreams? How is something like that even possible?" I open my eyes to find some sort of emotion etched across his face, but I'm not sure what emotion it is. "I have the ability to enter people's dreams, it comes in handy for... the work I do. No one has ever pulled me to their dreams before though and I've tried to ignore it, but the pull just gets stronger the longer I try to resist. I should stay away from you and you shouldn't know any of this, it could cause trouble for the both of us. It'd be for the best if you could just forget about all of this, if you just think that this is all just a dream. Especially me." His words make both my head and chest hurt. "What kind of trouble could you and I seeing each other in my dreams cause? Who could possibly know?" Nothing he's saying is making much sense. What or who could he be worried about? "I guess you could call them my bosses, they would never allow a mortal to have such knowledge. Although I'm not completely sure that you're truly a mortal.Everytime I enter your dreams you're aware of the exact moment that I enter them, no mortal has ever been able to even see me unless I wish it otherwise. Sadly that wouldn't matter to them, they'd still terminate both of us." My heart is hammering in my chest, my brain can't seem to comprehend his words. He must be able to tell that I'm about to freak out because his hands start rubbing up and down my arms in a soothing manner. "Shh, it's alright. None of it matters because after tonight you won't be seeing me again. I can't keep putting you in danger for my own selfish wants." I raise my own hand to his cheek "I might not really know you, but I know you're not selfish. Even though the thought of never seeing you again pains me deeply, I understand. I don't want either of us to be in any danger, so even though I don't know how I'm pulling you to my dreams, I will try to stop doing it." I watch as sadness settles into his eyes and he nods. "If this is the last time I get to see you, then may I ask for a kiss?" My heart shatters at his question. I reach up and thread my fingers through his hair, pulling his mouth down towards mine. Our lips meet and for a moment I think I'm in heaven. How can this man that I barely know feel like home? He deepens the kiss, becoming almost animalistic with need. He pulls away, taking all his warmth with him. "You'll be waking up soon meaning it's time for me to say goodbye. I'll never forget you, my Rose." I feel the tears fall before I can even try to stop them. "I'll never forget you either... What was your name?" I whisper. "Dreagon." He says before he disappears.
