chapter 6 - The spicy ramen incident

3rd Person POV:

Everyone started to eat. Everyone was praising Y/N's cooking. "The beef wellington is made very well and it's very fresh," Minho said as he took another bite. Everyone was shocked, seeing Minho complimenting someone.

"Yeah, that's why I love her cooking after you," Felix said as he also took another bite. Jisung was stuffing food in his mouth. Poor Chan was doing everything to avoid the spicy ramen.

"Let's play truth or dare!" Felix said, clapping his hands in tiny. "Sounds good," Y/N put down her chopsticks. Everyone agreed, Jeongin somehow managed a bottle and put it on the middle of the table. "So...who's gonna start first?" Chan looked at everyone. "I'm gonna start first," Felix grabbed the bottle and spinned it and it landed on.............

Jisung.

"Han, truth or dare?" Felix questioned. "Dare," Jisung said proudly. "Punch Hyunjin as your revenge that you couldn’t take," Y/N chuckled while saying it. "YOU EVIL WITCH!!" Hyunjin sassed out. This poor boy was only getting betrayed today. Jisung got up proudly, cracking his knuckles. Even though Jisung punched Hyunjin softly, our drama llama cried out loudly.

"Oww! I think you moved some of my organs," Hyunjin said, clutching onto his side.

"Stop being dramatic or I'm gonna put you in the air fryer with tissues stuffed in your mouth."

Hearing Minho, Hyunjin sat up straight and didn't say another word. "Jisung, your turn," Felix pushed the bottle towards Jisung. Jisung spinned the bottle and it landed on............

Seungmin.

"Seungmin, truth or dare?" Byeol asked cause she had a dare in mind if he chose it.

"I don't trust any of you guys so I'm gonna go with truth."

"Aww man, you're no fun," Jeongin slightly pused Seungmin, only to receive a glare. "Okay...what's the last thing you searched about?" Jisung asked with peek curiosity. "How to hide a dead body," He answered, almost immediately with no hesitation and also with a straight face.

"You searched about what!?" Hyunjin almost screamed while saying that. "Yeah...I was just curious," Seungmin shrugged while saying that. Meanwhile, Minho was laughing his ass off. "I taught him well," he managed to get it out between the laughs. "I have to keep an eye on him," Chan said, looking at Seungmin. "Me too," Y/N said, looking worried. Seungmin grabbed the bottle and it landed on Y/N.

"I pick dare."

"You cannot give dare to the next two people," Hyunjin said. "Okay...fine," Y/N sassed with a sigh. She grabbed the bottle and it went on like that until it landed on Chan. "I pick dare," Poor boy said, thinking nothing bad will happen. "Eat the spicy ramen," Seungmin said with a smirk. Minho put an arm around Seungmin's shoulder like a proud brother.

"A dare is a dare," Chan picked up his chopsticks. Y/N and Felix started to prepare the drinks, others watching intensely as Chan took the first bite. "Hey...it's not so spicy as I-" he stopped mid sentence as the spice hit him. He started coughing and turned red slightly. Being worried, Y/N took a piece of kimbap and put it in front of Chan's mouth.

"Here, eat it, it's gonna help recude the spice."

Chan looked slightly surprised, how close she was. Felix quickly opened a can of soda and slid it to him. Everyone took a glance at each other, being surprised at Y/N's action. When Chan was calming himself down, he received a message and opened his phone. It was from the group chat.

I somehow became the father
of 7 lost chaotic idiots
Changbin, Jisung and (6) others
Minho, Felix and (3) others are online

Seungmin
So...old man
how does it feels?

Chan turned off his phone and took another sip of his soda. Hyunjin got up and started to prepare the barbecue. Chan got up to help him. The sun was setting, coloring the sky with warm pink and orange hues. Jeongin was almost done helping Y/N to clean up the table. The others busy taking pictures.

"Thanks Jeongin," Y/N patted his head, even though he hated physical touch. He smiled making her chuckle. She took out her phone and started taking photos of the sunset. Minho went to Chan and Felix and started to help. Felix dragged Y/N with him to take photos and that's how she became the photographer for a moment.

They also took photos of chef Minho, Hyunjin and Chan in action. She took a few glances at him and so did he. When their eyes met accidentally, both of them looked away awkwardly. After a hundreds of pictures, with Minho's word, they decided to play background music for them.

Y/N picked up her violin. She was just testing it doing random plays, when she decided to play her favourite piece. Chan's ears picked it up as he looked back to see her playing it. It was the exact same piece he heard when he saw her. Y/N gave a look at Byeol, who had guitar with her. Getting the signal, she struck the strums with Y/N going along with her violin.

Seungmin got the melody and started singing it. It was 'Zombie' by Day6. Jisung joined along Seungmin. Jeongin and Changbin were recording it. It somehow surprised Y/N, how well Jisung and Seungmin's voice complimented each other. As they ended the song together, it broke into an applause.

Chan could swear Y/N's smile was so heartwarming. Minho came back as Seungmin took over. Y/N just played a melody looking at Minho. It took a moment but Byeol catched it and continued it on her guitar. Minho got it as they were playing the melody of his recent cover of 'Love me or leave me' by Day6 (a/n: The author just dropped a fanfic spoiler).

He started singing it. It was so beautiful. The sky changed it's color to blue hues. Everybody was having fun singing and teasing each other. The most sad part of the day was saying their byes. Y/N was just about to open her car door, when Chan came up.

"I was thinking how about we exchange our numbers? so we can hangout peacefully without these chaotic idiots."

She chuckled at his words before replying, "Yeah sure," she took his phone and typed her phone number before giving it back to him. "That's my number, hope we can hangout peacefully," she mirrored his words, they both chuckled. They bid their byes again as Y/N got in her car and drove away.

"Chan hyung got Y/N's number," Jeongin announced. Everyone went and group hugged Chan. After sometime, they got in their cars and drove away.

While driving, Y/N's mind was going back to Chan. His smile and everything. Thinking about Chan's dare, she chuckled and remembered how close she got to his face to help him.

Meanwhile, Chan was also having the same thoughts. One thing crossed their minds.

"I told the stars about you."
