Author's POV
Listening to Nayan's ranting, Jagruti felt something, and she hated that feeling. She was jealous, she knew. But will she ever say that out loud, admit it ? A Big NO. NEVER.
She sprinted out of the building in a hurry after the meeting, sat in the car and left to somewhere. Nayan noticed it, but didn't say anything. Ofcourse, being together for 5 years in the past, he can read her face and eyes well. Even if her personality changed, even if she talks coldly to everyone. He knows her very well. She was anxious, restless and wanted to be alone.
Jagruti's POV
I went out of the building, and went to that house. The house which we used to live with our parents happily, just like a sweet fairytale. A little family of four. The house in which my parents died. The house in which my parents were murdered in front of my eyes and I couldn't even do anything.
I was weak, didn't know anything, nothing about the outside world, nothing about the mafia world, nothing about that cruel bastard.
I parked the car outside the house premise and went inside slowly. The harsh and cruel wave of memory of that moment busted in my head, as soon as I stepped through the gate. I lived here when kk uncle used to train me, I lived here in a regular basis, lied to my family and sneaked out of the base, just to torture myself with that memory again and again.
Turning my face away from that place, where my parents were laying lifeless some years ago, I went inside the house. It was painted white inside out, it still looks like a new house because I take care of it as this is the house we lived for 20 years. It's a two story baglow, not that big but more than enough for us.
I sat on couch heaving a sigh, resting my head on headrest, facing to the ceiling with my eyes closed. I'm tired, of everything, of this hide and seek game, of lying to my family everytime, tired of fighting to those wierd emotions, of trying remember my past, of Nayan, I'm tired of myself. Will I ever remember him?
Does he still love me? But he said about his one sided love. Who is that? Even if he confess to his one sided love, she'll accept him. He's worried for nothing. Who'll refuse a man like him? A kind man, even if he's in a mafia, it didn't steal away his kindness, his innocence and most importantly his shine in those eyes, the twinkle in his life.
I should forget these things, these emotions. Now that I want to forget, I can't. When I did nothing, my memories went away just like that..!! I can't even remember my friends, my youth and my love. Ah....it makes me want to cry.
Leave it. I'll just ask him to help me with that shitty man and end him for good. Maybe, that can lead me to peace for a while. After finishing everything, I'll go to somewhere else for good and never come back. I can't handle these anymore.
Author's POV
She got up and went to her room where she used to live, to freshen up. She opened the door with a sigh, went in closing the door and looked around. There stood her photo studio of a room. But those pictures are only if her and Nayan and some photos with her friends.
Yes, she knows him from before, infact they were about to get married after graduation. They met each other's parents and talked to them. Her parents were quite fond of Nayan, they liked him in an instant, her father used to pretend as if he doesn't like Nayan, but everyone knew. there were pictures of her family together including nayan.
When she started forgetting about things, she was baffled about who he was and the others who were in those photos. She tried to remember, but her head ached with every try, pounding like anything, after a while she gave up. First of all she was jealous about that boy in the picture, who was sitting beside her mother hugging her from side, smiling from ear to ear.
Then she asked other around her, they told him about everyone, but she couldn't reminiscent anything, that made her heart and head ache. It was frustrating, she did remember the feelings, her heart did. When she used to looks at those pictures, she used to smile. It must have been fun. It must be relaxing having friends like them and a boyfriend like him. She used to think.
But now it doesn't make her smile anymore. It's frustrating now, it raises her anger everytime when she can't remember anything. Didn't the doctor it was upto her mental health and some medication, it'll take time but she could remember....or not.
She sighed again, this time frustrated. Freshened up she came out of the room and went downstairs. Glancing at the house for the last time, she locked the door and drove away, determined about telling Nayan about everything about that incident of the most miserable day of her life.
She inquired at the company if Nayan was still there but he wasn't. So she asked in the base, he was there, in an emergency meeting with Ajay Rathore.
She reached to the base, she was desperate to settle everything, to make her life a little bit peaceful. Her steps were fast, she went to the hall and seemed like the meeting was done. Ajay Rathore and his men were nowhere to be seen.
She asked someone where Nayan is, he was in his cabin. As she was restless, she didn't knock and went inside. When she saw him, her heart dropped to her stomach, again that feeling. He was with his friend, kritika singh, from Ajay Rathore's gang. They were smiling and talking standing next to each other in the balcony.
She couldn't listen well, since the door was closed. Is she the girl he's in love with ? What are they talking about ? Dud he finally confess to her after talking to me? Were questions wandering around in her head.
When kritika put her palm upon Nayan's, she lost it. She sprinted towards them, opening the door, she took his hand, which was under kritika's hand few seconds ago and stood in front of him, looking into his eyes.
Looking at the desperation and restlessness on her face, Nayan got worried. "Are you okay? Did something happen? Why are you looking at me like this? Did I do something?"
She quickly took a step forward and picked his lips to stop him from talking, making his eyes wide as saucers. " I wanted to ask you something."
"Huh?" Nayan asked, he was still in trance, shocked.
"Aren't you my ex? Let's get back together." She said in a heartbeat making the man even more shocked.
"Huh?" Nayan screamed.
"You don't want to ?" She asked in a low tone, sadness visible in her eyes.
"I...want to" Nayan said, still shocked and confused.
She smiled widely, Nayan was surprised now, he was seeing this wide smile after years. "you can go now, I'll talk to you later, I have things to make clear." Nayan said to kritika. Poor girl was saved from her wrath, she nodded and left his cabin
He looked in her eyes, to find an expression of mischief of prank or lie or something like this, but he found the continuous smile and a little twinkle in her eyes.
"Are you sure? Suddenly you want to get back together? And wait... You knew I'm your but since when? I wanted to ask this for while now. Do you remember me? Or do you just know that I'm your ex" he ranted nin stop until...
"Shhh... Take some breath, will ya?" She said putting her fingers on his lips to stop him and smiled before continuing.
