"Yvonne!" yelled Mr. Reynolds. "Could you come down, please? We need to talk."
"Coming, Dad!" Yvonne shouted back, though a twinge of anxiety twisted in her stomach.
"Ooh! You're in trouble," Caleb snickered from the living room.
"Oh, shut up," Yvonne scoffed, trying to ignore him.
As the thoughts of her father faded, she sank back into her bed, buried in her English homework.
"Yvonne Reynolds!"
"Sorry! Coming!" She raced down the stairs, taking two at a time, nearly tripping on the last step.
"Over here, kiddo," Mr. Reynolds beckoned from the couch, a grin plastered on his face, with Mrs. Reynolds smiling beside him.
"Caleb, could you come down too?" he asked. "We need to discuss this as a family."
Discuss this as a family? Yvonne felt her heart race. What had she done to deserve a family discussion on a Thursday night? Maybe this was just another one of those mixed-up phrases her parents were known for.
"We've got great news!" Mrs. Reynolds squealed.
Yep. It was.
"Any guesses, Yvonne?" Mr. Reynolds said, his grin widening.
Yvonne gasped, the thought hitting her like a jolt of lightning. "Wait. Really?" Mr. Reynolds nodded, his smile growing impossibly wider.
"No way! I've been waiting for this day forever! I'm finally going to be a big sister!"
"Wait, what?" Mr. Reynolds looked confused.
"Mum's pregnant, isn't she? That's what you were nodding for," Yvonne said, her excitement slowly fading.
"What? No. But it's the next best thing..."
"For her," Mrs. Reynolds added, glancing at Caleb.
"For her," Mr. Reynolds repeated. "Yvonne. You're going to Hogwarts!"
"And we're taking you to London," Caleb beamed.
Yvonne's grin returned, brighter than ever. This couldn't be real. While Caleb had lived the Hogwarts experience from the start, Yvonne had been stuck in Australia due to her parents' work commitments. But now, the wait was over, and she was ready to dive into the magical world she had only heard about in his stories.

As Yvonne and her family stepped onto King's Cross Station a short, plump woman with flaming red hair approached her, her warm smile radiating kindness.
"Hello, dear! You look a bit confused," she said, her eyes twinkling.
"Are you going to Hogwarts?" asked a boy with the same vibrant hair, flanked by another boy who looked just like him.
"Fred! George!" the woman hissed, glancing around with a mix of exasperation and amusement. "We don't know if she's a Muggle or not."
"No, that's all right, Mrs..." Yvonne started.
"Mrs. Weasley, dear," the woman replied, her tone softening.
"That's all right, Mrs. Weasley. I am going to Hogwarts." The words slipped out before she fully realised what she was saying, but they felt so right, like a spell that made everything else fade away. A warm thrill spread through her as the reality of it settled in.
Just then, she spotted Caleb in his sixth year, chatting with friends, and a familiar figure stood among them. Her heart skipped a beat as she recognised Harry Potter.
"Wow," she breathed, mesmerised by his presence and the way he laughed with his friends.
"Oh, wonderful!" Mrs. Weasley exclaimed, her smile growing which made Yvonne snap out of her thoughts. "Are you traveling alone?"
"No, actually, I'm here with my brother and my parents. They're over there." Yvonne turned around and gestured for her parents to join her.
"Hello, I'm Molly Weasley. You must be her parents," Mrs. Weasley introduced herself, her eyes twinkling with warmth.
"Yeah, we're Amara and Philippe Reynolds," replied Mrs. Reynolds, her voice carrying a hint of pride.
"Merlin! You used to be Amara Lupin!" Mrs. Weasley gasped, her excitement palpable.
"Oh. Well, not in a very long time," Amara said, glancing back at Mr. Reynolds with a hint of nostalgia. "Life has certainly changed since then."
"I should've known!" Mrs. Weasley continued, a smile spreading across her face. "Remus did mention something about his niece joining Hogwarts. He was quite excited about it!"
Yvonne's heart swelled at the thought of being connected to someone as respected as Remus Lupin. "You know him?" she asked, her eyes brightening.
"Of course! He was a dear friend during our school days. A bit of a troublemaker, but with a heart of gold," Mrs. Weasley replied with a chuckle.
Just then, a loud whistle echoed through the station, cutting through the lively chatter. Yvonne's heart raced.
"Come on! We need to get on the train before it leaves!" Fred urged, already pulling George along.
"Yvonne, let's go!" Caleb called from where he stood with his friends, excitement etched on his face.
Yvonne turned back to Mrs. Weasley, her eyes sparkling. "Thank you! I can't wait to start my journey at Hogwarts!"
"Make sure to keep an eye on Harry and the others; they'll show you the ropes," Mrs. Weasley said with a wink, her warmth enveloping Yvonne like a cozy blanket.
With one last wave to her parents and a glance back at Harry, Yvonne felt the thrill of adventure surge through her. She hurried onto the train, ready to embrace everything that awaited her in this magical world.
